Planned Builds
« on: 28 May 2020, 21:00:01 »
I have compiled a notebook of all the planned builds I have for the Anniversary Edition of Titan Quest with all the DLC's. I've only got the build names, the masteries for each listing both starting with the one that gets more investment, and finally the male and female chosen names. However, I haven't gotten around to listing stuff such as final endgame stats or endgame equipment and skills as I figured that unlike Diablo II, it is too complex and there seems to be no set best equipment suited for each build.

I've come up with a total of 138 builds altogether! Some classes have two ways to build them, others have more than that, the most for some is five! Anyway, here is how each mastery is used for each class:

Warfare: At least one build for dual-wielding.

Defense: At least one build for melee combat using a shield.

Hunting: At least one for bows and another for spears.

Rogue: At least one that uses throwing knives.

Spirit: At least one caster. With the exception of Warlock, all casters use Ternion Attack. At least one caster specializes in Vitality damage.

Earth: At least one caster specializing in flame. For fighting builds, there is at least one physical and one elemental.

Storm: Same as earth where there is at least one build for melee physical and one elemental. Depending on the second mastery, there can be at least one build using either cold or lightning or even both.

Nature: At least one build focusing on using pets to deal damage.

Future posts by me on this thread will summarize each build's style.

Dream: At least one melee build and one caster. With the exception of the Dreamkiller, all casters use Psionic Beam.

Rune: At least one caster and one dual throwing build.

First I'll discuss the builds that focus more on Warfare than the secondary mastery. This counts for both melee and long-range. All Primary Warfare builds use the trees of Onslaught, Battle Standard, and War Horn. A point in Battle Rage and maxed Dodge Attacks are also used. Dual-wielding builds max the Dual Wield tree. Slam is useful for disrupting enemy skills and reducing enemy health. Weapon choices are limited to swords, axes, and maces due to Weapon Training affecting only those weapons. You'll also max the War Wind tree unless you use clubs endgame because Lacerate does not work if you use clubs.

Assassin: Dual wielding using Envenom weapon to supplement damage of attacks. Due to Blade Honing, weapons will be limited to either swords or axes, though swords have pierce ratio. Onslaught will further increase the damage of Lethal Strike, and is better than Calculated Strike due to more bonuses, each applied to each hit instead of increased damage every four. A point in Mortal Wound can stun your enemies. A point in Gas Bomb and maxed Poison Mayhem will help deal with enemies spread out and impair their aim. Blade Barrier can be used to damage enemies who get too close. Flash Powder can hinder your enemies.

Battlemage: Dual wielding with Onslaught as primary attack. Brimstone is maxed to increase physical damage. If playing elemental, Earth Enchantment will also be maxed. The Flame Surge Tree is maxed for reducing enemy Defensive Ability. Ring of Flame together with Soften Metal is used to decrease enemy offensive ability and armor. Volativity is also maxed for increased damage both physical and elemental. Fire Nova is useful for affecting enemies spread out and impairing their aim. Meteor Shower is good for surrounding enemies. Stone Form is good for emergency healing and Heat Shield can protect you from fire damage and increase damage resistance.

Berserker: Dual wielding with Onslaught due to it dealing more damage and having better bonuses than Rune Weapon. Sacred Rage is good for when your health gets low and Frightening Power helps weaken enemies. Runeword: Feather is useful for reducing strength requirements of weapons and increasing offensive ability. Rune of Life increases strength and speed together with resistances for bleeding and vitality. Reckless power has the chance to deliver double the damage. Thunder Strike is used for multiple targets and increased damage. Seal of Fate together with Aftershock can help weaken enemies. If you want, you can max Crushing Blow and Counter Attack to increase the effectiveness of Battle Rage and the chance to lash out at enemies who damage you.

Champion: Dual wielding. Wolves can increase damage. Heart of the Oak increases life and Permeance of Stone can increase resistances. The Plague tree is maxed to weaken enemy damage, speed, health, and resistance. Earthbind reduces enemy defensive ability and immobilizes them. Sanctuary can help reduce damage taken. A point in Refresh can reduce skill cooldowns.

Conqueror: Dual wielding. Armor Handling reduces the requirements of armor and increases armor absorption. Battle Awareness and Iron Will are used to increase armor and resistances to status ailments. Rally and Defiance are used for healing, increased resistances, and damage reflection. The Adrenaline tree increases health regeneration, speed, and physical damage. Colossus increases damage, strength, and life. Unyielding Phalanx is good for tougher enemies or for when multiple enemies come close. If you want, Crushing Blow and Counter Attack can be used for increasing damage in Battle Rage.

Harbinger: Dual Wielding. The Phantom Strike tree is good for crowds. A point in Distort Reality and maxed Temporal Rift can petrify enemies. Distortion Field can reduce the damage inflicted on you. The Lucid Dream tree is maxed to increase your damage, offensive and defensive abilities, and speed. Trance of Empathy is the trance of choice for life leech and damage reflection. Dream Image can be good for distracting your enemies and inflicting extra damage. The Nightmare can confuse your enemies and reduce their resistances. A point in Disruption Wave can slow your enemies and Chaotic Resonance and weaken their armor.

Slayer: Dual wielding. Herbal Remedy is good for healing and increasing poison resistance. Max the entire Call of the Hunt tree if fighting in melee. Max the Art of the Hunt Tree, but leave Trail Blazing at level 1. Both are very useful for increasing pierce and bleeding damage. With the latter, you also get increased speed and ability at dodging projectiles. With the former, you also get increased attack speed. Both also increase the damage you deal against beasts and animals. Study Prey is very useful for weakening enemy defense and Flush Out is good for reducing enemy defense. Ensnare is good for immoblizing your enemies and reducing their defensive ability.

Spellbreaker: Dual wield. Deathchill Aura slows your enemies and reduces their health. Ravages of time can reduce the combat effectiveness of your enemies. Necrosis can reduce the life leech resistance of your enemies. A point in Dark Covenant and Maxed Unearthly Power can increase your own effectiveness in battle. Spirit Ward and Spirit Bane increase the damage you deal to the undead while reducing the damage you suffer from them. Vision of Death is good for using when surrounded. Circle of Power can also further increase the effectiveness of life leech and reduce energy costs and skill cooldowns. Soul Vortex can be used to rejuvenate yourself. Death Ward is good for when your life gets low. The Outsider is good for tougher enemies. You'll have plenty of spare points left to get a strong liche king for your pet.

Thane: Dual Wield. Can go physical or elemental. If going physical, leave Storm Nimbus at level 1 and max the rest of the tree. If going elemental, max Storm Nimbus. Heart of Frost is good for slowing your enemies down. Eye of the Storm is good for increasing your resistances to cold and lightning. It's even better if you go elemental for increased damage. Static Charge can increase the effectiveness of Spell Breaker and Spell Shock, both of which are good for using against magical enemies and enemies with lots of energy. Thunderball and Concussive Blast can stun your enemies and reduce their defensive ability. A point in Storm Surge can stun your enemies in melee combat. Squall and Obscured Vision can be used to decrease the effectiveness of your enemies in combat and their defenses. Energy Shield reduces cold and lightning damage while Reflection can reflect damage back at your foes.

Next, I'm going to focus on builds that focus on Defense as the primary mastery. These builds are made for melee combat. All builds max the three passive shield attacks, and Armor Mastery. A point in Battle Awareness together with maxed Focus and Iron will increase armor, block chance, and resistance against status ailments. Shield Charge and Disruption make a great attack for attacking multiple targets in front of you and disrupting their skills. All builds should also max Rally and Defiance for healing, increased resistances, and damage reflection. The Adrenaline tree increases health regeneration, speed, and damage. You should also get Colossus to increase damage, health, and strength. Unyielding Phalanx is good for attacking enemies that get too close and against tougher enemies. Quick recovery is good for reducing the time between blocking with your shield. If you use clubs or maces and have access to skills that stun your opponents, Concussive Blow is worth considering, as long as you equip either clubs are axes. Batter with Rend Armor is great for attacking multiple foes at once. It's also worth considering for those classes who don't have access to any of the powerful left click melee attacks, but you'll need some equipment to reduce recharge time to use it as your primary attack.

Conqueror: The Onslaught tree is your primary attack. The trees of War Wind, War Horn, and Battle Standard are also useful for increasing damage or weakening your enemies. Dodge Attacks and Weapon Mastery also need to be maxed. Weapon Mastery only works with Swords, Axes, or Clubs. Lacerate doesn't work if you use clubs. Battle Rage increases your offensive ability, but you only need one point.

Corsair: Calculated Strike is your main attack and Lethal Strike with a point in Mortal Wound to stun your enemies is another great secondary attack. Blade Barrier is good for when enemies get too close. Envenom Weapon is good for inflicting status ailments on your enemies. A point in Gas Bomb with maxed Poison Mayhem is good for impairing enemy aim and when enemies are spread apart. Blade Honing increases your piercing damage only if you are using swords, axes, or spears. Axes however lack pierce ratio meaning you won't deal as much damage. Flash Powder can hinder your enemies. Open Wound and Anatomy can increase bleeding damage. Maxing Mortal Wound gives you even more bleeding damage.

Guardian: Use wolves to increase your damage. Max the Plague Tree to weaken your enemies. Heart of the Oak increases your life and Permanence of Stone increases resistances. Sanctuary can reduce the damage dealt to you and Earthbind reduces enemy defensive ability, immobilizing them as well. Refresh can reduce skill cooldown.

Juggernaut: You can go physical or elemental. Max Brimstone in either case. Max Earth Enchantment for elemental damage if you desire. Max the Flame Surge tree for reducing enemy defensive abilities. Use Ring of Flame together with Soften Metal to weaken enemy combat effectiveness. Volativity increases your damage. Fire Nova can impair enemy aim. Meteor Shower is good for enemies all around you. Heat Shield protects you from fire and increases damage resistance. Stone Form is good for emergency healing.

Paladin: You can go physical or elemental. Max the Storm Nimbus tree if going elemental. Otherwise leave only Storm Nimbus at level 1 and max its synergies. Max Spell Breaker and Spell Shock for using against magic enemies and those with lots of energy. Max Thunderball and Concussive Blast for stunning and weakening enemy defensive ability. Get a point in Storm Surge for stunning enemies in melee combat. Squall and Obscured Vision can weaken your enemies and impair their aim. Eye of the Storm increases both elemental damage and resistances to Cold and Lightning. Energy Shield reduces cold and lightning damage while Reflection can reflect damage back at your enemies.

Runesmith: Rune Weapon is your main attack for increasing damage, life leech, slowdown, reducing offensive ability, and energy leech. Max Rune of Life for increasing your strength and resistances to bleeding and vitality damage. Runeword: Feather reduces strength requirements of weapons. Sacred Rage and Frightening Power can strengthen you and weaken your enemies. Seal of Fate together with Aftershock can also weaken your enemies. Runeword: Absorb is good for reducing times between shield block and absorbing spell energy. Thunder Strike is your primary secondary Attack for larger crowds. Unleash can confuse your enemies. Menhir Wall can block progress of your enemies and Rune Storm can also be helpful.

Spellbinder: Max the Deathchill Aura to slow down your enemies, weaken their combat effectiveness, reduce their health, and their resistance to life leech. Spirit Bane and Spirit Ward can increase damage against undead and reduce damage from them. Soul Vortex is good for rejuvenating yourself. Circle of Power can increase life leech effectiveness and reduce energy costs and cooldown times. Death Ward is good for when health gets low and Outsider is good for tougher fights. Unearthly Power increases your damage. Vision of Death is good for when you are surrounded. Liche King can air you in battle.

Templar: Psionic Touch is your main attack. Phantom Strike is good for crowds. Distort Reality and Temporal Rift can petrify your foes. Distortion Field reduces the damage dealt to you. Max the Lucid Dream tree for increased damage, speed, chance to avoid projectiles, defensive and offensive ability. Trance of Empathy is the trance of choice for life leech and damage reflection. The Nightmare can confuse and weaken enemy resistances. Dream Image is good for more damage and distraction.

Warden: Use a spear and max Wood Lore for increased attack speed and defensive ability. Herbal Remedy is good for healing and poison resistance. Spear Dance is great for when you are surrounded. Max the Call of the Hunt Tree for increased damage. Max the Study Prey tree to weaken your enemy defenses. Max Art of the Hunt tree for more damage, but leave Trail Blazing at level 1. Max Ensnare to reduce enemy defensive ability. Max Volley for multiple attacks.

Re: Planned Builds
Now for Rogue. All builds where Rogue is the primary stat should take advantage of Envenom Weapon and it's synergies of Mandrake and Nightshade to confuse and slow enemies, get Poison Mayhem to impair aim of enemies spread apart, Flash Powder for when enemies surround you, Blade Honing to increase pierce ratio on spears and swords, and Blade Barrier for defensive and offensive purposes. Melee users should use Calculated Strike as their primary attack and lethal strike as a secondary attack with one point in Mortal Wound for stunning enemies. Casters should max Throwing Knife and Flurry as their main attack, and get enough skill levels to increase past the maximum for zero recharge time, and max Anatomy for increased bleeding damage. If you have enough points, max out the Traps tree for more damage.

Assassin: The only skills you need are those in the War Horn tree, Dodge Attacks, Battle Standard tree, Slam, and Ancestral Horn tree. Slam can disrupt enemy skills. War Horn and Doom Horn can stun your foes and reduce their health. Ancestral Horn gives you temporary minions to damage your foes.

Brigand: Max the following skills to increase your knives bleeding and pierce damage: Call of the Hunt, Exploit Weakness, Art of the Hunt,  Study Prey, and Flush Out. Herbal Remedy is good for healing and increase poison resistance. Trail Blazing increases your speed. Monster Lure can distract your foes and Detonate can stun them. You can also max Shrapnel to increase the bleeding damage of your gas bombs.

Corsair: The Adrenaline tree increases health regeneration, speed, and bleeding damage. Get Quick Recovery for reducing the time between blocks, Perfect Block to stun enemies who attack you in melee range, Armor Handling for increased armor absorption and reduced requirements of armor, Colossus for increased health, Focus for increased block chance, Iron Will for increased resistances against status ailments, Rally and Defiance for healing yourself as well as increasing your resistances and reflecting damage, and Unyielding Phalanx for when enemies get too close.

Dream Killer: Calculated Strike deals more damage than Psionic Touch, so go with it if you build a melee fighter. Or you can make a knife-throwing caster that specializes in poison or electrical burn damage. Use Envenom Weapon with Nightshade and Mandrake to inflict slow and confuse on your enemies. Temporal Rift can petrify your enemies. Trance of Empathy is your trance of choice for life leech and damage reflection, or go with Trance of Wrath if you are a caster. Chaotic Resonance is good for melee characters. Distortion Field can reduce damage taken. Max the Lucid Dream tree to increase your damage, defensive ability, and speed. If you are a caster who specializes in poison, keep Lucid Dream at level 1. Sands of Sleep can relieve you of enemy attacks. Dream Image can give you a temporary ally. The Nightmare can confuse your enemies and reduce their resistances as well as increase the damage of your traps. If making a poison caster, remember to max Gas Bomb with Poison Mayhem. If you choose electrical burn damage for your caster, level Poison Bomb at level 1 with maxed Poison Mayhem and max Psionic Immolation. If being a caster, max Throwing Knife and Flurry together with Anatomy and Blade Honing (equip a sword or spear). Blade Honing is also good for melee fighters.

Illusionist: For a melee build, Earthbind immobilizes your foes and can reduce their defensive ability. For both melee and caster build types, you can also use Sanctuary to decrease damage taken, wolves can strengthen you or provide distraction, the Plague tree to weaken your enemies, Heart of the Oak to increase your health and Permeance of Stone to improve your resistances. Since Susceptibility can reduce poison resistance, you can also choose to maximize Envenom Weapon and Toxic Distillation to increase your poison damage for either a melee or caster build. Melee users can also max Mortal Wound if they wish to maximize their poison damage. Casters who wish to deal more poison damage can also max Poison Bomb. If you choose not to specialize in maximizing poison damage, you can get traps instead.

Magician: You can go either physical or elemental. Max Brimstone for phsyical. Max both it and Earth Enchantment for elemental. Use Ring of Flame and Soften Metal to decrease enemy combat resistance in melee range. Use Fire Nova to impair enemy aim. Get Volativity to increase your damage. Max the Flame Surge tree to reduce enemy defensive ability. Meteor is good for surrounding enemies. Heat Shield is good for protecting you from fire damage and increasing your damage resistance. Stone Form is good for emergenies when you need extra healing.

Sorcerer: Leave Storm Nimbus at level 1 if going physical or max it for elemental. Either way, max Heart of Frost and Static Charge. Storm Surge is good for stunning enemies in melee range. Thunderball and Concussive Blast stun your enemies and reduce their defensive ability. Eye of the Storm increases resistances to cold and lightning as well as elemental damage. Spell Breaker and Spell Shock are great for dealing with magical enemies. Energy Shield and Reflection can protect you from elemental damage and reflect damage back at your enemies.

Trickster: Runeword: Feather reduces strength requirements and increases offensive ability. Seal of Fate and Aftershock can weaken your enemies. Menhir Wall can be used to hold them back. Rune of Life strengthens you and some of your resistances. For melee characters, Thunder Strike and Unleash increase your damage and can confuse your enemies. Rune Storm is good for melee range. Runeword: Absorb can reduce time between blocks. Casters should max Runic Mines, Freezing Mines, and Guardian Stones.

Warlock: Max the Deathchill Aura tree to slow your enemies, reduce their health, combat effectiveness, and their resistances, especially the bleeding and life leech. Unearthly Power makes you more powerful. The Liche King grants you a powerful combat ally. Spirit Ward and Spirit Bane reduce the undead's attack power and increase your own against them. Soul Vortex Rejuvenates you. Death Ward can save your life. Summon Outside makes a powerful temporary ally. Vision of Death is also a great for when you are surrounded. Circle of Power increases effectiveness of leeching, reduces energy requirements of skills, and cooldowns. Max Open Wound, Mortal Wound, and Anatomy to maximize your bleeding damage.

Re: Planned Builds

The next mastery I will cover is Earth. This post will focus on builds where Earth is the primary investment mastery. All builds should max Earth Enchantment and Volativity to improve their damage, get the Core Dweller to tank, Eruption for crowd control and tougher enemies, and Fire Nova to impair enemy aim. Brimstone should be kept at level 1, with one exception. Heat Shield can reduce fire damage dealt to you and increase damage resistance. Stone Form is good for emergency healing.

Avenger: Use Flame Surge as your primary attack as it has no cooldown when Barrage is at higher levels when you get enough equipment to raise skill levels. The Volcanic Orb tree can also be put to good use, though Conflagration only needs one point. Ring of Flame and Soften Metal synergize well with Flame Surge due to the shorter range and you can use the ring to lower the combat effectiveness of your enemies. Study Prey should be maxed to decrease enemy resistance to physical damage from your eruptions and orbs. Max Flush Out to reduce elemental resistances. Leave Art of the Hunt at level 1 and max Find Cover to improve defenses against projectiles. Leave Trail Blazing at level 1. Max both Monster Lure and Detonate to distract your foes and damage them. Herbal Remedy is good for healing and increasing poison resistance. Ignore the Art of the Hunt tree altogether. If you want, you can get Ensnare to immobilize your enemies.

Battlemage: You only need the following skills: War Horn to stun your enemies, Doom Horn to reduce their health, Dodge Attacks to avoid attacks, Battle Stand and Triumph to increase your effectiveness and lower that of your enemies', Slam to disrupt enemy skills, and a point in dual wield to hold two weapons to further improve your fire damage with bonuses. As with the Avenger, max the Flame Surge tree, get Ring of Flame together with Soften Metal, and get Volcanic Orb, max Fragmentation, and leave Conflagration at level 1. You can also get Ancestral Horn for more minions and Lasting Legacy to make them stay at your side longer.

Conjurer: Max Ternion Attack as your main attack as well as Arcane Lore. Max Deathchill Aura and Ravages of Time, using them to weaken your enemies. Use Unearthly Power to increase your damage. Get the Liche King for a second companion. Death Ward can save your life. The Outsider makes a great third ally even if he is only temporary. Circle of Power is great for increasing casting speed, and reducing cooldowns and energy costs. Vision of Death is good for when you are surrounded. Spirit Bane and Spirit Ward improve attack and defense against the undead. If you want it, get Volcanic Orb and max Fragmentation with one point in Conflagration.

Elementalist: You can choose to go either pure fire, or pair fire with either cold or lightning. Either way, max Spell Shock and Spell Breaker for use against magical creatures, Eye of the Storm for increased resistances and damage, Squall and Obscured Vision for reduced resistances and impaired aim, Static Field, and get a point in Storm Surge. For pure fire, max the Flame Surge tree, get Volcanic Orb with Fragmentation and a point in Conflagration, and Ring of Flame with Soften Metal. If pairing Fire with Lightning, replace Volcanic Orb with Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning. If pairing Fire with Cold, drop Ring of Flame, Soften Metal, and Flame Surge and max Heart of Frost, and the Ice Shard Tree. You can also get Energy Shield to reduce cold and lightning damage you suffer and reflect damage back at your foes.

Evoker: Max Flame Surge as your main skill and use Ring of Earth together with Soften Metal to affect enemies in range. Temporal Rift can petrify your foes and inflict electrical burn damage. Distortion Field reduces damage taken. Trance of Wrath reduces resistances. Dream Image can allow a temporary ally to fight alongside you. Sands of Time can relieve you of enemy attacks temporary. The Nightmare can confuse your enemies and reduce their resistances. Now you can choose to be pure fire or use electrical burn damage. If you choose to remain specializing in pure fire, max Volcanic Orb and Fragmentation as well but leave Conflagration at level 1. Also leave Lucid Dream at level 1 while maxing the rest of the tree to improve defense and speed. If you choose to branch out into electrical burn damage, max Psionic Immolation and Lucid Dream.

Juggernaut: Adrenaline can increase health regeneration, but Defensive Reaction only needs one point cause only speed is useful. Rally and Defiance increases resistances, provides healing, and damage reflection. Focus increases shield block chance and Iron Will your resistances to status ailments. Quick Recovery increases shield blocking and reduces time between blocks. Perfect Block can stun enemies that attack in melee range. Armor Handling decreases requirements of armor and increases armor absorption. Colossus can increase health. Flame Surge, Volcanic Orb, Ring of Flame, and Soften Metal are all useful for offense and defense.

Magician: Max Throwing Knife and Flurry as your main attack, at higher levels with skill raising equipment it has no cooldown. Max Brimstone to increase their damage. Anatomy increases bleeding damage and Blade Honing (requires a sword or spear) increases pierce damage. Blade Barrier is good for offensive and defensive purposes. Use Envenom Weapon with Mandrake and Nightshade to supplement your knife damage. Get Ring of Flame and Soften Metal for when enemies get too close. Flash Powder is good for when you are surrounded, and Poison Mayhem for impairing enemy aim.

Stonespeaker: Max Menhir Wall and Guardian Stones for offensive and defensive purposes. Get Seal of Fate and Aftershock for dealing damage and weakening your enemies. Flame Surge is your main attack with Ring of Flame and Soften Metal for defensive purposes. Max Runic Mines and Freezing Mines. Sacred Rage and Frightening Power can save you and weaken your enemies. Get a point in Reckless Offense so you can equip two weapons to get more damage with better equipment. Use Rune of Life to improve speed and resistances.

Summoner: Use Wolves to supplement the damage of the Core Dweller and act as meat shields. Max Plague to weaken your enemies. Get Sanctuary to reduce damage taken. Max Heart of the Oak and Permeance of Stone for increased life and resistances. Refresh can reduce cooldowns. Use Flame Surge as your primary spell to deal damage on your own and use Ring of Flame with Soften Metal to defend yourself.

Storm is our next topic. Storm based classes focusing on it primarily are caster oriented, similar to Earth. All Storm user who use Storm as their primary mastery of investment should max Heart of Frost to increase cold damage, frostburn damage, and slow down enemies, Static Charge to increase lightning and electrical burn damage, Eye of the Storm to increase resistances to cold and lightning, as well as increase elemental damages, Spell Shock and Spell Breaker to use against enemies with vast amounts of energy,  and Squall and Obscured Vision to reduce resistances and impair aim. They should also get a point in Storm Surge to stun surrounding enemies. Casters that attack with Ternion Attack or Psionic Beam should max Storm Nimbus. Energy Shield protects you from cold and lightning damage while Reflection can reflect damage back onto your foes.

Druid: Use wolves as distractions. Max the Plague tree to weaken enemies. Use Heart of the Oak to increase life and Permeance of Stone to increase resistances. Sanctuary can decrease damage done to you. Max the trees for Ice Shards and Lightning Bolt for damage spells. Refresh reduces cooldowns.

Elementalist: Max Ice Shards as your main attack and use Chain Lightning as your secondary attack. Get the Core Dweller to tank for you. Max Earth Enchantment and leave Brimstone and Volativity at level 1. Max Eruption for crowd control. Fire Nova is used to impair enemy aim. Thunderball and Concussive Blast can stun your enemies. Heat Shield compliments Energy Shield and Stone Form provides emergency healing.

Oracle: Max Ternion Attack and Arcane Lore. Max either the Lightning Bolt Tree or the Ice Shards tree depending on if you want to specialize in either cold or lightning. Spirit Ward and Spirit Bane improve attack and defense against the undead. Circle of Power is good for increasing casting speed, reducing energy costs, and cooldowns. The Liche King makes a powerful ally as does the Outsider even if the latter is temporary. Death Ward can save your life. Vision of Death is good for when you are surrounded and Unearthly Power can increase your damage.

Paladin: Ice Shards is your primary spell. Lightning Bolt is your secondary skill. Max Concussive Blow for increased stun lengths and equip a club. Use Quick Recovery to increase shield chance, Perfect Block to stun enemies attacking in melee range, Armor Handling to improve armor absorption and reduce requirements, Colossus to increase life, Focus to increase block chance, and Iron Will to increase status ailment resistance. The Adrenaline tree can increase health regeneration and speed, though you only need one point in Defensive reaction. Unyielding Phalanx can be useful for when enemies get too close. Rally can heal you and Defiance increases resistances and reflect damage.

Prophet: Use Psionic Beam as your main attack. The Lucid Dream tree increases your damage, defenses, and speed, leave Lucid Dream at level one since you're specializing in cold damage. Max the Ice Shard tree. Temporal Rift can petrify your enemies and deal electrical burn damage. Distortion Field reduces damage dealt. Dream Image summons a powerful temporary ally. Sands of Sleep can take some enemies off your back. The Nightmare can reduce enemy resistance and confuse enemies. Use Trance of Wrath to reduce resistances.

Sage: Use both Ice Shards and Lightning Bolt. Thunderball and Concussive Blast can stun foes. Leave Art of the Hunt at level one and max both Find Cover and Trail Blazing. Max Herbal Remedy to heal yourself and increase poison resistance. Monster Lure can distract your foes. Max Flush Out to reduce enemy resistance. Ensnare can immobilize foes as can Freezing Blast.

Use Blade Barrier for offensive and defensive purposes.

Thane: The only skills you need from Warfare are Battle Standard, Triumph, War Horn, Doom Horn, Dodge Attacks, Ancestral Horn, Lasting Legacy, Slam, and Dual Wield. Max the trees for Battle Standard, War Horn, Ancestral Horn, Ice Shards, Lightning Bolt, and Thunderball. A point in Dual Wield and Slam is all you need.

Thunderer: A point in Reckless Offense will allow you to use two weapons for the purpose of improving your elemental damage. Max Seal of Fate and Aftershock to inflict damage and weaken enemies. Next up is Spirit. Every build that focuses primarily on Spirit is a caster. All of them should max the Deathchill Aura tree, get the Liche King, Spirit Ward, Spirit Bane, Circle of Power, max the Life Drain tree, and get Unearthly Power, Death Ward, and Summon Outsider, and Vision of Death. With one exception, Max Ternion Attack and Arcane Lore to use as your primary attack.

Bone Charmer: Max the trees for Art of the Hunt and Ensnare. Max Flush Out, Exploit Weakness, Herbal Remedy, and Monster Lure. This way, you'll have improved poison resistance, healing, bleeding damage, and attack speed for your Ternion Attack.

Conjurer: Get the Core Dweller to fight alongside the Liche King. Max Earth Enchantment but leave Brimstone at level 1. Max Eruption but leave Volativity at level 1. Heat Shield and Stone Form provide protection and emergency healing.

Diviner: You can add Psionic Beam to your arsenal for an attack that can penetrate enemies. Temporal Rift petrifies enemies. Distortion Field reduces damage. The Lucid Dream tree increases your damage, speed, and defense. Trance of Wrath is your trance of choice for reducing resistances. The Nightmare can also reduce resistances and confuse enemies. Dream Image provides a powerful temporary ally. Sands of Sleep can also be of some use in putting enemies to sleep.

Oracle: Leave Storm Nimbus at level one, but max Heart of Frost and Static Charge. Max Spell Breaker and Spell Shock for use against magic enemies. Max Eye of the Storm for increased resistances. Get Storm Surge for stunning enemies. Squall and Obscured Vision can reduce resistances and impair aim. Energy Shield and Reflection can shield you from cold and lightning damage and reflect damage back at your enemies.

Shaman: Seal of Fate and Aftershock can damage and weaken enemies. Sacred Rage and Frightening Power protect you and weaken your enemies. Rune Mines and Freezing Mines are also good abilities. Menhir Wall and Guardian Stones can be used for defensive and offensive purposes. Rune of Life increases speed and resistances.

Spellbinder: Iron Will increases resistances against status ailments. Rally heals you and Defiance reflects damage and increases resistances. The Adrenaline tree increases health regeneration and speed, but you only need one point in Defensive Reaction. A point in Colossus gives you more health. Armor Handling increases armor absorption and reduces requirements. Unyielding Phalanx is good for enemies who come close.

Soothsayer: The Plague tree weakens your enemies. Wolves can provide a good distraction. Heart of the Oak and Permeance of Stone increase health and resistances. Refresh reduces cooldowns. Sanctuary reduces damage.

Spellbreaker: You only need the skills from the trees of War Horn, Ancestral Horn, and Battle Standard, together with Slam and Dodge Attacks.

Warlock: This is the exception to Ternion Attack. Instead, you'll be using Throwing Knife with Flurry. Envenom Weapon is good with Mandrake and Nightshade. Poison Mayhem impairs aim. Flash Powder compliments Vision of Death. Increase the damage of knives with Anatomy and Blade Honing (use a sword or spear). Make use of Blade Barrier for defensive and offensive purposes.

Nature builds focus primarily on using pets to deal the damage for you. When Nature is your primary mastery, you should max the Plague tree, max everything in the Call of the Wild tree except for Maul if you need the points elsewhere, Heart of the Oak, Permeance of Stone, and Regrowth and Dissemination which allows you to heal your minions. Refresh is useful for reducing cooldowns. You can also max Sylvan Protection if you desire for reducing enemy defensive abilities, which would be safer than using Earthbind which requires you to get closer.

Champion: You only need the skills from the trees of War Horn, Ancestral Horn, and Battle Standard. Dodge Attacks is also useful. You might want to max Refresh to allow yourself to use Ancestral Horn more often.

Druid: Max the Storm Nimbus tree to give your wolves more damage. Get a point in Storm Nimbus and max Squall and Obscured Visibility for reduced enemy effectiveness. Use Spell Breaker and Spell Shock to deal with powerful magic enemies quickly. Energy Shield can protect you from cold and lightning damage while reflecting damage back at your foes.

Guardian: Rally can also heal your minions. Defiance allows them to become more resistant to elements and reflect damage. Protect yourself with Iron Will and Armor Handling. Use Unyielding Phalanx when enemies get past your defenses. The Adrenaline tree can increase your speed and health regeneration, but you only need one point Defense Reaction. A point in Colossus gives you more health.

Illusionist: Use traps to deal more damage, Poison Mayhem to impair enemy aim, and Flash Powder when surrounded.

Ranger: Use Study Prey, Flush Out, Call of the Hunt, Exploit Weakness, Art of the Hunt, Find Cover, and Trail Blazing to aid your minions. You can also heal them using Herbal Remedy and provide further assistance in reducing enemy defensive abilities with Ensnare. Monster Lure and Detonate are also useful to further distract your enemies and stun them.

Ritualist: You definately want the Nightmare to confuse your enemies, reduce their resistances, and strengthen your wolves. Leave Lucid Dream at level 1 and max the rest of the tree. Use Temporal Rift to petrify your enemies and Distortion Field to protect yourself. Sands of Sleep can put some enemies out of commission. Trance of Empathy can allow your minions to reflect damage and leech life. Dream Image can summon another ally.

Skinchanger: Rune of Life can strengthen the speed, strength, and resistance of your minions. Energy Armor can be useful to increase their defenses (watch the rising energy cost and get enhancements to reduce it). Menhir Wall and Guardian Stones can aid your minions as well. Sacred Rage and Frightening Power can also save you. Seal of Fate and Aftershock allows you to deal some damage and weaken your enemies.

Soothsayer: Use the Liche King to summon another minion. Spirit Ward and Spirit Bane can protect you and your allies as well as increase their damage against the undead. Circle of Power can also give your minions some benefits. Death Ward can save you. Outsider provides another useful ally. Vision of Death is good for if you are surrounded. Unearthly Power makes your minions even more powerful. If you need more minions, use Enslave Spirit.

Summoner: Max Earth Enchantment and Brimstone to increase the damage of your pets. Use the Core Dweller as another tank. Use Fire Nova to impair enemy aim. Ring of Flame and Soften Metal can reduce effectiveness of enemy attacks in melee range. Heat Shield and Stone Form make great defensive skills.

Dream was the second last Mastery introduced in the game. And it's the second last mastery I'll be discussing. Depending on your second mastery, Dream based builds are either casters or melee. All Dream builds using it as their primary mastery. All builds should get Distortion Field to reduce Damage, max the Lucid Dream tree to increase damage, speed, and defensive ability, have a point in Dream Image for a temporary ally, max one trance, and get the Nightmare with Hypnotic Gaze to confuse enemies and reduce their resistances. Melee characters can get Chaotic Resonance to damage enemy Armor. Sands of Sleep can disable enemies.

Diviner: You can go either melee or caster. Use Psionic Touch as your primary attack in melee with Phantom Strike for multiple enemies. As a caster, use Psionic Beam together with Ternion Attack. Use Psionic Immolation as a caster. Use Trance of Empathy to leech life and reflect damage in melee or Trance of Wrath to reduce resistances as a caster. Max the Deathchill Aura tree to reduce health, speed, combat effectiveness, and life leech resistance. Unearthly Power can increase your damage. The Liche King makes a powerful ally. Spirit Ward and Sprit Bane can help damage the undead and protect you from them. Circle of Power can help with life leech, casting speed, recharge time, and energy costs. Vision of Death is useful for when enemies get too close. Soul Vortex is great for melee fighters to rejuvenate themselves. Death Ward can save your life and Outsider makes a great temporary ally.

Dreamkiller: A poison melee fighter. Use Calculated Strike and Blade Honing with the maxed Envenom Weapon tree. Max Blade Barrier, Lethal Strike, and Mortal Wound. Use Phantom Strike for crowd control, Chaotic Resonance to damage armor, Distortion Field to reduce damage, Temporal Rift to petrify your enemies, and Trance of Empathy for damage reflection and life leech. The Nightmare can reduce resistances and confuse your enemies. Sands of Sleep can disable your enemies and Dream Image is useful as a temporary companion. Max Lucid Dream for increased damage, speed, offensive and defensive ability. Flash Powder is useful for when you are surrounded.

Evoker: Melee build that can go either physical or elemental, or you can make a caster. If you choose melee, max Brimstone. For elemental damage, max Earth Enchantment. Max the Flame Surge tree to reduce enemy defensive mastery. Ring of Flame and Soften Metal are useful for when you enter melee with enemies. Volativity increases your damage. Fire Nova impairs aim. Use Trance of Empathy for life leech and damage reflection. Chaotic Resonance can reduce armor. If you choose to be a caster, max the Psionic Touch tree to use the beam attack with your staff. Max Eruption, but leave Volativity at level 1. Max Psionic Immolation for more electrical burn damage. Mastermind can strengthen the Core Dweller. Use Trance of Wrath to reduce resistances. For both melee or caster, use the Nightmare to confuse your enemies and reduce their resistances. Sands of Sleep can disable your foes. Dream Image can aid you in battle. Heat Shield and Stone Form can protect you and provide emergency healing.

Harbinger: Caster build. Max Psionic Touch as your main attack for the beam. Use Psionic Immolation and Trance of Wrath. Max the trees for Battle Standard, War Horn, and Ancestral Horn. Max Dodge Attacks. Use Master Mind to increase the damage of the ancestral spirits.

Monster Lure is good for distracting enemies and Detonate can inflict damage and stun them. Max both Study Prey and Flush Out to weaken enemy resistance to damage, elemental, and bleeding.

Rune of Life increases speed, strength, and resistances. Seal of Fate and Aftershock can damage and weaken enemies. Both builds can use Menhir Wall for defensive purposes.
