I had a crazy idea for Athens Marsh, i worked all night ( well almost)  building this..


Why i was thinking about this ? Dont you explore the Marsh   afraid of pulling the boss when you didnt want to ? This happens to me many times , lol.


How i imagine the new Marsh:

Heres a small draw i made



Hydra  boss have a special arena for the fight.

 
Replace the itchians and other sea creatures to a different type of monsters. A new breed of itchians , that have worhship a false god, a supreme identity, Hydra. ( For exemple)

Itchians cultist~ Scale Hoarder ( the normal melles ones)

Itchians cultist~ Adept ( normal casters)

Itchian cultist~Razor Fin ( champion, berseker dual weapon, when he dies spawns a blood pool)

Itchain cultist~ Snake caller ( champion mage, using bleeding and vitality as main attacks, use heals and batle awereness to support their allies)


Plus you will face Hydras spawns  in the area.

Hydra~ juvenille ( medium size , isnt very dangerous)

Hydra~adult ( large size,  now this one you must be carefull, they have a strong melle attack that can cause skill disruption, fear and slow)



In the place where was Hydra boss theres now 2x itchians heroes ( the heads of the cobra)

-The bleeding Fin ( caster, uses a blood rain, vitality shield)

-The cobra Fang ( dual weapon OR mace and shield, have a frenzy mode near defeat)


I'm assuming you all think i'm crazy, well maybe :p

Almost ending act 4, with Haruspex, dream mastery is strong in this act duo of bonus advantage vs daemons. but this will be for another time.

Side quests. The rewards granted by then, are great no need to change in my opinion.

But i have some suggestions to make some side quests more interesting

The achaean Pass- one of my favourite side quest in the game. the feeling of protect the base from Hades forces is well design, but it misses the feeling of despair :p. The suggestion for this quest is re change the waves.

1st wave- remains the same- empusas and melinoes
2nd wave- Formicids mages and soldiers plus Furys matriachs
3rd wave- Siege striders, formicid captains, machaes grand master archers


The stolen Sigil and Stygian lurker- maybe there could be a small bonepile/formicid egg in the bosses rooms

Lampido potion- Could be there a vicious monster guarding the  cyber mushroom and tree root.

The wealt of kings- Queen Alkiste and King Aegimius can bring more challange into the table.

The torchlight Gaunlet- a fearsome wraith hero can appear in last wave, archer type casting cold/vitality abilities.

Dream mastery

The only thing i can point is, to many skill with dmg bonus vs demons , myconids , Nigtmarre, temporal rift and psionic burn ( i know the last two is from vanilla) , maybe their values can be decrease (?)


Hunting

Study prey- this skill is pure caos, huge aoe that destroys  groups of monsteres defense/bleeding resistance, you can destroy everyhting in matter of secs ,even bosses, dont forgetting the low cd ( 8 secs)


Act 5

the only thing i can say about side quests is the "Celtic Plaid", this quest is super annoying i dont even do that one.

The quest have such bad design for two reason, 1st you must go hunt merchant shopping for the respective dye and the worst part is that dye dont appear 100%, so you need to relog the game atlast 1-2x times. The 2nd reason is the reward (  trashy boots or something) oh my.


Did i say i love very much the ashlands ? pure joy :D



Quest suggestion.

Did you know you can actually fail the Giesel quest ? if the wolfs get the sheep you get no reward or another try, this is very interesting.

How about the others quests that involvs protecting npc could go that way ? for exemple the Torchlight gaunlet quest, the one you need to defense the guy that lights the beacon in rhodes ? if the wraiths get him 1st, well game over :D

Yeah, Study Prey is OP.

So I nerfed the resistance debuff.

Old:
-21 phys resist up to -42 at level 6 (-66 max with +4 to skills)
-21 phys resist up to -42 at level 6 (-66 max with +4 to skills)

New:
-8 phys resist up to -18 at level 8 (-33 uber with +10 skills)
-15 pierce resist up to -36 at level 8 (-66 uber with +10 skills)


Did the same with Flush Out modifier

Old:
-14 elemental resist up to -36 at level 6 (-54 with +4 skills)
-14 bleeding resist up to -36 at level 6 (-54 with +4 skills)
-14% DA up to -36% DA at level 6 (-54 with +4 skills)

New:
-10 elemental resist up to -31 at level 8 (-66 with +10 skills)
-10 bleeding resist up to -31 at level 8 (-66 with +10 skills)
REMOVED ALL -%DEFENSE ABILITY DEBUFF VALUES.



EDIT:

I changed Trance of Energy into Trance of Power
Increased electric burn damage.
removed all mana modifiers/regen and removed racial defense for Demons
Added +%total damage modifier starting at +6% total damage up to +21% at max +40% total damage at +10 to skills

To compensate the increased total damage bonus increase, I reduced the total damage bonus to Psionic Touch, Phantom Strike and Nightmare's Master Mind.

I felt like Runemaster is the Elemental damage themed mastery, and Dream has so many total damage bonuses, this would complement Dream's damage theme and it's still a hundred times better than Trance of Empathy.

Yes! Its looks way better with new changes!

And agree as well for runemaster  being the only elemental focus mastery.


Feedback

I finish act 1 epic few minuts ago, its feels balanced , fun , packed and shinny loots :D

About the quests ( talking about epic) i would change 2x things

Monstrous brigands- adding a Satyr brigand hero guarding Telis, or turning the cave more dangerous.

Skeleton Raiders- Improving the Princes skelletons brothers


Ideias

Instead of appear 100% skelletons groups in Knossos Palace, could appear some Gorgons or even Minotaurs

The inhabited statues in Telkine batle room could be replaced by Minotaur statues? to make the batle more great :p

I was thinking, what if Telkine summons the strongest monsters per act ?  For exemple ,the greek telkine could have a chance to summon centaur elders , cyclops, liches

The egyptian telkine , summons scorpions champs, statues, mummys

The orient one, summons draconians mages, tigermans pack leaders, djinns

Added "Shadow" traps to chests. Manaburn, lightningburn and mana leech damage.

Added a couple hero level satyrs to the shepherd quest in epic and legendary.

Finished up Act 5 MI torsos

I reworked the Icescale armor skill to be a 6 second party buff of 150%, 250% and 500% reflection. procs when you get hit.

Made most of the racial damage bonuses party buffs that activate on equip.

Sciron armor has a racial defense versus humans.

Added ondeath skills to act 5 skeleton revenant mages

Added a couple new legendary unique weapons

EDIT:
Defense Battle Awareness now offers +%defense versus Humans
Defense's Rally now offers +%Damage to Humans

While i was seeing your video, i had weird vision.

How about when you kill a gigant monster ,for exemple a hulking yeti, it causes a stomp effect, that provoke  skill disruption or slow effect to the player

Another ideia for act 2,  stronger pharaoh statues guarding important dungeons entrance, similar to minotaurs statues in knossos.
