Never seen this 'Giants Tooth' op item but meh I never really go for the most powerful and popular best-in-slot items personally.  For me, sure damage is nice and of course necessary, but I really enjoy finding items that aesthetically are awesome (..which is why you'll never find me using the ugly Folg mace even though everyone raves about them) and also make for weird and interesting play styles.  Added to this is the challenge of making such items work to their full potential combined with my particular builds.

Good sir, I've never got to know you in person (I mean in the internet) nor I had any conversation with you.. but I sincerely appreciate your efforts in this modding community.. even though I have never had a chance to play this game with your mod, I can easily see it was one of the "cornerstone" type mods according to most of the players..

About your issues related with your family, I believe it is not my place to offer any advice here, since you are definitely much more experienced in life compared to myself already.. I only want to emphasize this point cause I wholeheartedly agree with it;

if it's me i would've banned this member already.. this is not his first offense

What is his offense exactly? Is there a post where he actually offend someone?
I dont see much of a problem if someone seeks attention even by complaining... the forum won't overload and it's a free internet.
The real problem for me is when many people team up vs one person, Study Prey him and start attacking him. In my book that's a dishonorable thing to do.
 

In general, this^^ .. but I also agree with botebote77 since I've realized the OP doesn't deserve any empathy whatsoever and I'm tired of trying to help or understand someone, just to see he/she was not worth it immediately after.. 

Your motto was the exact reason for why I tried to support him because I hate "1 vs many" scenarios as well, but, after seeing his non-grateful, saucy comment, I immediately deleted the post..

Some people just don't deserve attention & support even if they look like they need it at first sight..

Sorry for hindering the flow of this topic, its obvious most of you don't like getting into negative talks about the game or the devs.. so I'll try to keep the criticisms to a minimum :)

About dual wielding Slayer, is it viable for later difficulties? I always wanted to make one but shield + spear combo didn't appeal to me in this build because of the lack defence mastery and its utilities..

Actually, if we're to reconsider this for a second, don't you think it would have been so nice if they made an "imbue" system with the normal sets, so that when we get into later difficulties and wish to keep the same set, we could just pay any enchanter a visit and transform the items of the set into their "epic" and "legendary" versions.. at a serious cost of course... I've always wanted to keep the Theban set for my old conqueror..

Surely, all this would have make sense only if the issue about the similar sets was solved beforehand..

Yes.. and that is the exact evidence of their laziness (Nordic).. they still haven't fixed what the original devs left unfixed.. they already have received the amount of attention they expected (maybe even more) from the gamers around the world, so they don't see a reason to further improve the game.. this is my interpretation on this matter..

Yeah, just found that Head Hunter's Pride and I was like, what the hell??

Regarding the reduced DA on that bow... I have no idea which one is more frustrating and stupid;

This, or the veteran prefix on a bow.. still not fixed, still ignored.. when looking at changelogs on any update, all I see is "fixed the bla bla sound on satyr hero" "fixed the mesh/colour on bla bla armor"..

And comparing those two mage leggings, I guess it simply shows the amount of creativity, or should we say, laziness of these guys..

Pierce effect on shards definitely makes sense.. good catch..

Yeah I know that magma contains rock formations and this also makes sense but how about ring of fire then? It has a flat physical component as well, hasn't it? I mean it doesn't look like a solid, moving magma to me.. just flames...

I really wish we could use Soulvizier on AE.. there was this talk about a Chinese version of it for some time ago but AFAIK it turned out it was an unplayable mess..

Yes, definitely.. I don't know about what others would want but I absolutely couldn't care less about UI and pictures.. they can stay as they are.. just the skills themselves would be enough for me..

Don't you think it would make much more sense this way.. if you're hit by an ice, you actually would receive physical damage (since its a physical object after all) primarily and cold damage afterwards.. I mean if I spray fire to your face, would you get affected in a physical way at all? you would just get chemical damage..

But since this is only a game and these kinds of logic have no place while creating skills, I would like to address it from the gameplay perspective.. Cold skills simply doesn't have the versatility lightning and fire have.. its just ice shards and that's all.. we're just talking about spells here so weapon oriented cold builds are out of the spectrum.. there should be more than just one ice spell in the game.. look at Earth for example, it has 3 distinctive fire spells for gods sake!!

I don't think I have to mention we should also exclude utility skills here such as freezing blasts, mines or any other cold related skills because they can not be used as primary damage sources..

Add the physical damage to cold skills (maybe even add inherent slowing effects to it like they did in Diablo II) and combine lightning and fire instead of lightning and cold.. and remove either Electrical burn or Fire burn from the equation because they are both scientifically fire burn effects anyway.. I would have actually removed certain damage and effect types from this game if I had the necessary modding skills.. Anyway, I think a mastery mod with these types of changes could be invaluable indeed.. what do you think?
