So i was about to reach sparta and i encountered a skeleton normal monster wielding some kind of knife. With every hit the skeleton would replenish 100% of his HP, i was not able to pick it up but it was a green item, if someone tells me where the screen shots are being saved in anniversary edition i can upload it here. I searched the TQ IT screen shot location but it wasnt there.
took me like 5 minutes to kill the skeleton, it was incredibly annoying as i had to use a bow and hit and dodge, because if his attack touched me he would gain his hp back :/

If you have anniversary edition on Steam then you can press F12 and it will take a screenshot. After your session is over then it will show you the screenshots you have taken during that session. It's most likely a throwing weapon, part of Ragnarok, which you probably don't own. Since you don't own it, you can't pick it up.

The items are in the base game even if you don't own the Ragnarok expansion, but enemies still have them equipped. Usually skeletons but some others have it equipped. Killing them, as usual, will make them drop said throwing weapon but you won't be able to highlight it on the ground much less pick it up. At the merchants they are also displayed but it'll say under the normal requirements "Missing Ragnarok" Or something like that (don't remember now) in red letters. I'll get a screenshot of it when Steam decides to load the game.

Yep. It's annoying when you find those green items on the ground you can't pick up. From what I've seen the throwing weapons don't even do good in my opinion.

they're good but they have short range.. dual throwing is badass with thunder strike from rune.. makes you throw 10 projectiles

I don't think it is the way it is because of marketing purposes, but rather because it simplifies the code base of the game so you can push the same patches to both TQAE and TQAE+R versions of the game. Just my opinion, though.

The item must have had some affix that draws life with every hit. damn that was nice wish i could pick it up.

Probably just life leech alongside the skeleton's most likely small health.
