The worst thing in this game is that when collecting potions, newer/better potions are wasted first if using default button for potions. So potion with lower regeneration rate will stay untouched while better potion will be used if not stored in caravan.

I always sell the lesser ones once I have a good supply of the better ones. And I still end up with hundreds of them by the end of the game.

I think that thing needs to be improved in way so we can select the order of which potions to use first. If we sell too much potions, there will be a need to buy new ones at some point. This especially apply for Lilith on hardest difficulties.

should this really be here? i thought this was for true TQ fans.. sometimes imperfections makes things perfect.. if anything I'll say i can't play it all day

This might sound generic, but only true fans critique their favourite thing.

if this continues, this might look like:
commenter 1: i don't like this
commenter 2: i don't like that too
commenter 3: and this mechanic is just so wrong
new player just getting in the game: so this game isn't so good after all
if I'm a beginner thinking of registering here and i see a thread like that, why would i want to join this forum?

I think that you misunderstood this topic. General discussion board is dedicated for all kind of discussions related with this game and nothing can change the fact that this is one of the best games of this kind ever made. Let take potions and money, both for example, are they from great importance in this game? I think no, only on beginning, later there is plenty of supply. And one more thing, discussions here have nothing to do with new members on forum, for most of things we have positive opinion but like for everything in this life there are as well some things that we dislike and in this case this is only my point of view, others may think different. After 5 or 6 years of playing I only once finished 2nd difficulty, and that is not a critic towards game, but my point of view how do I like to play it, for Lilith for me the end of the game is when finishing 1st difficulty. Typhon has a point.
New players have to create their own picture of this game, with a lot of available mods, there are unlimited combinations and options which they will have to discover.
One more thing, what if someone decide to make a new tool with which we will be able to select exact potion to use, and just because of this topic? I don't like to sell potions, collecting till my caravan is full of it and then dropping older ones.
Perfection is imperfection.

What I don't like is that there are no gore effects, even as a toggle option.

This. When I hit the enemy with my axe, I want him to be cleaved in two, falling in slow motion, while blood splatters all over the place.
-
Closest you'd get to that would be to use a weapon like Frostbite or Demeter's Sorrow or Glacial Maul. Then when you hit them foes freeze, break into little pieces and slowly melt away. I love doing that when playing a Paladin. :)

If this was named "Things that can be improved" i would feel much better

Unfortunately, THQ was pretty resolute in what IronLore could and could not do, since they were determined to keep a T rating. In addition to nulling literal bloodshed, this also precluded human enemies. (THQNordic, of course, is under no such constraints.)
I personally don't really care about blood effects.
