ATTENTION! .arz must be the same name as the name of the mod. i.e. custommaps --> DropSounds + Massbosses + Mis are epic + affixes are common

Database needs to have that long name (or change folder name)

Also on Steam

how do i extract with tqvault? i didnt see an option for that.
Damn, I just checked and the extract option is removed in newer Vaults.
What version of the database are you extracting? The last option is to extract it myself and just upload it.

i tried all versions of the database. i had to verify my game files and steam had to redownload the AE version. All other versions are showing 2KB in size. im gonna make a backup of the AE version and try again.

Hi,

I try to learn from scratch how to modify Text.arc files. I'm not a modder at all. I want to fix Text-FR where there's a lot of wrong translations and errors.

I've already found how to unpack, and modify the Text-XX files with arcexplorer.

How can we pack new (modified) Text files in order to have an efficient new Text.arc ? Is Arc_Encryptor the appropriate tool ? Is there somewhere a tutorial to do this ?

Thanks

EDIT : Ok, I found on my own (and an old french forum). I use the ArtManager to build the new Text file and it works.

For those having issues with ARZExplorer, the latest version with TQVaultAE 3.5.2 fixes the database extraction issue introduced in the 3.x versions.

Edit:
Okay nothing is easy.  The 3.5.2 release does not actually contain ARZExplorer.exe, but fortunately the fix is in one of the supporting TQVaultAE dlls.  In the meantime, you can just use the ARZExplorer.exe file from 3.5.1 with the 3.5.2 dll files.

Here is the latest Tool Pack (my personal selection):
https://mega.nz/file/oWAlXILI#OBb3IZIR-sYNwRBKBt96ofzEjJ9xbGXVvm_cTm9FdrU

Contains:
ArchiveTool - a tool to repack ARC files (might be outdated)
ArcUnpack - a tool to unpack one or multiple ARC files on drag and drop.
ArtManager1.6 - outdated version of AM, works good for Immortal Throne
ARZExplorer - a tool to preview or extract ARC or ARZ (Database records) files
Converseen0.9.9.3-1 - A nice batch resizer/converter. Supports multiple formats. I mostly use it to mass convert PNG or DDS to TGA
GrimArc & GrimArz - Extract ARC/ARZ (for Grim Dawn)
MeshViewer - Preview TQ meshes/textures (havent tested it on EE though)
MeshViewFixed2 - The original tool is by Tamschi, fixed some exception errors by koderkrazy
Njob - small, but useful too for making bump maps/normal maps from textures
Number_Sequence - a tool for calculating skill level progression values made by Bumbleguppy
TextureViewer - this version is outdated, see TextureViewerExporter below
TextureViewerExporter - TextureViewer version updated for EE and able to mass extract TEX files. Kindly provided by Wagi
TexViewer - Texture extractor for Grim Dawn
TQ Animation Bone Renamer - a tool for renaming bones in ANM files, made by koderkrazy
TQ Animation Callback Editor - edit, remove or add new callbacks in ANM files, made by Tamschi
TQ Animation Combiner - can "stitch" 2 animations together to make a longer one (must have the same bones/frames)
TQ Animation Composer - can take bones from one animation and add or replace them to another. Very useful tool
TQ Animation Cropper - untested
TQ Animation Specials - untested
TQ Grid Extractor - Drag and drop a mesh over this tool to extract its UV Map (Texture Grid) in PNG format
TQTextureCompile - Converts DDS to TEX on drag and drop
TQTextureExtract - Extacts DDS from TEX on drag and drop (updated for EE)
UnMirrorUV -  Drag and drop a mesh over this tool to make it asymmetric (you have to make a 2-sided texture)
UVMapper - Extracts the UV Map from OBJ. You have to export a mesh as OBJ with MeshView before using this tool.

MeshView can export to OBJ, or if you are a Blender user, there is also a basic MSH importer addon, located in Toolset folder of your TQAE installation directory.
