TQAE+Rang - any mods / patches needed?

Hi guys,

its been ages...

I can see some of the old regulars from old tq fourms here... :)

cool.

Btw,  tqae + rang is playable out of the box or do i need to install some patches, like in the past community patch?

I wander how xmax work with rang and whatabout tqvault...i have a really nice collection of items there ...stashed away :)

you dont need to instal anything, the base game AE and expac have everthing you need.

About mods, i think xmax works, vault not sure

i really wish vault worked with ae rang as i have a huge collection of stuff i had accumulated during the years of playing...

The AE version of the vault doesn't recognise the expansion items, but you can still store them in there.  I put a whole load of "?'s" in my Vault the other day.  ;)  nargil66 is working on expanding the caravan space in the AE version so maybe he can try with the Vault in future.  Haven't tried the Xmax AE with the expansion yet to see if that works.  Will try and have a go with that tomorrow.

Just checked the AE version of Xmax with the expansion and it certainly increases the mob size.  Don't know what it does with the bosses since this was just a quick check, but mobs are definitely increased the same as in the base game.

And what about old saves? Can i jys copy paste them?

And basically I will be able to move freely stuff between my old TQIT toons and TQAE RANG toons after copypasting old saves into TQAE?

Sorry for all this asking but unfortunately I will be installing on Saturday...tough luck...work and stuff... :'(

And I will start my TQAE Rang experience with...

I used to have a orb / eruption summoner but now I want to try Avenger going for max CDR on Eruption and I like SP / FO better for res reduction then Plague...

While Nature was strong on HP, I guess Hunting will not be shanbby either...with Herbal Remedy /one res less to worry about/ and FC / TB in the AotH tree :)

@Medea...do you guys have any challenges? I will be going for Zero Death / Xmax on my Avenger (just in case) ...so maybe I could hop in ... O:-)

anyway we can get the old Defiler mods to work on AE again?
- drop loot
- drop chance
- filter items
- no Zeus speech
- stacking pots
- show all damage
- show agro
xmax hardcore is the only way to play this game.

Jacko, yes no problem with moving toons over.

gasconron, honestly don't know.  Soulseekkor's combined GDDefiler covers all 3 games, but only for editing your characters at the moment.  I think his plan is to include some of the mods, but when that will happen is anyone's guess.  I would love to have my infinite potion stacking back and freeze time of day.
