Have followed bote's build fairly well with little deviation in the beginning. Since I have destroyed most all my characters I had started , including my vault.
This is a start from scratch with a new vault start. Expect to buy buy thing along the way  to save for planned Avenger, Sage, and Brigand later.
Presently in Act 4 Normal at The Upper City of Lost souls. Way back in Act 1 I found staff of the Magi which I am still using. Hate to give up it is the only cool down I
have found so far and Eruption takes for ever to cool down.
One thing I found is Mubuti's Avocate, 3 of them all in the same area, also a Bramble Bow, which use to be good for Hunters.
My big problem at present is Charon's oar. A suggestion would be appreciated

not having any luck finding blue dragons scales? i do have a suggestion.. that is if you have the overlord.. because you can farm the secret passage without opening the gate.. if you don't have it yet, i guess you can farm Hades for it and you'll probably get other items as well

about Charon, as far as i know he deals mostly cold and some vit maybe but mostly cold.. so get your cold res up

mbutis advocate is only good if you have some str already.. i don't know what your stats are but i suggested high int first.. but at this point you might have some str already? i hope you also have a good shield

are you using VO also? use VO also.. it has way shorter cooldown than eruption

Need help deciding what to do with the Charon's Oar. Health 2248, Energy 1645, Intel 540, Strg 186, Dex 155.
Have the strength need the dexterity. Need Stg 108 and Dex 224 for Mbuti's Avocate.
 Use the day lights out of VO and Eruption as much as possible. Haven't quiet finished Nature yet. Lvl 35.
I cheese everything I can, including Charon. Still have Skeletal Dart and Outriders Buckler. Hardly ever use.

do you mean you don't know what to do with charon's oar? you give it to the quest guy in river styx

your int is too high.. you need good str to equip good shields

Must be a bug, he wont take it. Most of the int is equipment and relics.
