Hey guys!
So I came back to playing titan quest a bit and tried to complete Tartarus on normal for the steam achievement, I already defeated Tartarus on legendary many times but never played normal or epic.
To my surprise defeating Tartarus it was pretty hard. My level 85 juggernaut has around 1k OA and I felt like I was missing a lot of hits or not doing enough damage.
I don't remember it being that hard in legendary. Has there been any new updates I've been missing?

Hi Benitot
There have been a few patches since Atlantis dropped, but I don't know how they affected Tartarus since I don't play that. They did have to sort a few bugs out with it iirc.

Thanks.
Yes I saw that other users reported the same issue. The monsters in there are level 85. Pretty insane for normal difficulty.

Well, you can give feedback/suggestions here

Devs will see it then.

It harder than before since v2.8.
I don't play it much so that's all i know from my experience.

i played it way less than icefreeze so i also know less.. but iirc i read something a long time ago that it was bugged that normal tartarus was harder than legendary tartarus
-
Thanks all.
I'll try epic and see how it goes

Seems like they haven't expected a high-level character to use epic or normal difficulty Tartarus mode, and I think since the monster level is based on the character level, somehow it scales really awkwardly. I'd be interested in knowing why that is exactly.

Harder is better. Real test.

i didnt try much Tartarus but the ideia i guess its only to go in Legendary, for "endgame" experience. Tartarus boss was to weak then they buff him patches ago,i dint play since then.
In my opinion, i would avoid Tarturs dungeon for now, that dungeon have some serious problems from mobs getting stuck/being invisible , and crashes.
Edit : Dont forget Tartarus gives random negative affix to the player, from less resistance/ no pets etc, maybe that was the reason ?

Yes I need to retry on legendary to see how it goes. There is not much value doing it on normal just wanted the steam achievement.
Yes I had an attack speed penalty and he had some retaliation I think. I noticed that the no pets allowed carried on even when changing area. As you said maybe it was due to the negative affix.
It will require more testing.
He is pretty hard to take down solo on normal if you are not playing one of those higher dps classes.

Took Tartarus down on Normal a few weeks ago with a Templar (and not a particularly well build one either lol, I'm not doing quite the reflection damage some people think I should be, or at least I wasn't at the time). Can't recall what level I was at. In the 40s, maybe I was at 50, but no higher. The first few times I tried to kill him, the issue was putting out enough damage to kill him in time; I was able to stay alive though. After reworking some skills I could reliably kill him. Nice to know he's allegedly easier on harder difficulties lol.
