There is a maximum of two votes per user. Please only pick a second vote, if Storm mastery was your first choice. The reason for this is that I'm looking for a second mastery to complement Storm, for a build that relies almost exclusively on the latter for offensive capabilities. However, it's going to need a lot of CoolDown Reduction.
Obviously, there's a lot of CDR available from gear, but since the secondary mastery doesn't seem to matter that much, I was wondering whether there'd be one that also benefits CDR.
-
i find it hard to vote.. if it's caster build, i choose nature, dream, and rune.. if it's melee, warfare.. if it's archer/throwing weapon, hunting
i considered storm as the first mastery
edit: now that i think of it.. almost all my builds relies on CDR :)
-
Nature can help with CDR but only in the late stages of the mastery.
The Refresh skills removes seconds from your cooldown.
-
actually, nature because of briar ward.. helps big time with survivability as well as provide less energy cost.. so a druid icesharder actually is less gear dependant than other caster builds.. briar ward health now scales with difficulty.. as far as i remember
-
Makes sense that Briar ward scales with difficulty, the way the skill description is layed out(with the health and stuff), it kinda sounds like the ward is treated like a summon.

True, but Refresh itself is also on (a relatively long) cooldown, so it doesn't work for spamming skills. The way I see it, Refresh is there for multi-pet masters to keep all their pets up all the time.

That, I've considered too.
I wonder though how it compares to Dream, since ToC gets you a long way too, while being less static.

true.. and also for casting spells 2x in succession.. like lightning bolt, refresh, lightning bolt.. but you want it at lvl 1 only.. it's only worth maxing for builds that relies on making long cooldown skills permanent.. like permanent ancestral warriors, permanent outsider, permanent guardian stones, permanent call of the hunt
That, I've considered too.

yep.. that i cannot say which is better.. what i do know is briar ward should not be used against Typhon

Sorry, I don't know why I said it.

refresh is a good skill though and in a way, you're still correct.. it's just it's rarely worth maxing

You ask? Lightning - refresh - lightning had been efficient even before AER, and now with the recharge capped at 80% its the only way to cast it that fast. With both plague and squall its also still enough to murder most mobs in act IV - V legendary. And briar ward is the ice prison of TQ, the only CC that works on bosses besides provoke summons and it really changes alot, even if it gets wiped in seconds. If you use -recharge items, refresh cooldown is also shortened.

just like what i said.. i also like plague, lethal strike, refresh, lethal strike and plague, seal of fate, refresh, seal of fate
I'll just put this here in case dude missed it.. @Laionidas any ideas for a Seryu Ubiquitous build?

Lol, in Grim Dawn maybe.
But yeah, I do feel I totally missed something, was it in a different thread?
For TQ, it'd have to be a Magician with Traps and Corey, or a Trickster, depending on whether Runeword: Explode and Runeword: Burn also apply to Traps (would be !@#$%^&* epic if they did!).
-
no i just posted it in the live chat section.. traps don't get runeword:explode and burn but you know what would make it closer to Seryu Ubiquitous build? if core dweller has colossus form ;D
for the record, i hated Seryu..i liked Sheele
this girl is scary

I didn't think they would, don't pets (and traps maybe) only get the toggleable auras?
Thought explode was a passive. Last I checked summons don't get the passives unless it's part of their skill tree.
