-Masteries skills
-Every act got various places.
-Mods ( legion of champions )
-Graphics , the game itself doesnt look from 2006

Things that can be improved:

-Music , i mean the game have great music, but it kind miss some action epic batle music.

Atmosphere. Very comfy and immersive.
Environments. Especially real-life places, like the Wall. Those are the greatest.
Music.

Yeah, the atmosphere.

The sunny shores of Megara and Rhodes and the dark mystery of caves. The bright cities and misty swamps.

I love the contrast of bright and cheerful to gloomy and spooky...it keeps the play feeling fresh and varied. Like coming out of the Athenean Catacombs into the bright docks makes you breathe a little deeper in relief. Or that determination you feel when you dive into and Egyptian tomb from out in the sunny desert.

Likes:
- Story Concept (mythology)
- game ambiance; no over-the-top depressing environment.
- the ability to make anything work and finish ALL of the game content even with large handicaps, as long as you have the skill or patience for trial and error. REGARDLESS of your BUILD. *cough* Grim Dawn *cough*
- the lack of need to face-tank things. the ability to properly kite things... *cough* Grim Dawn *cough*

I love mythology so that's a big part of it.

+ The bright beautiful colors and landscapes
+ Attention to detail/items look good as they are equipped (for the most part)
+ Game is ageless, as far as I'm concerned, in part to THQ Nordic Supporting it
+ Hades (seriously my favorite area of any ARPG)
+ Fun Skills/Tons of customization/experimentation
+ Loot Hunt and Farming is fun to me in TQ:AER
+ Very Fast Setting!!

You said it. All the things that create the unique feeling of TQ.
My favorite moment - just after the battle of Athens, to hear Brasidas' story of the siege, and when entering the city, to be greeted by the epic music... really brings up that heroic feeling.

Nope, YOU said it. This is exactly what GD lacks. It feels bland in comparison to TQ's moments.

After playing through expansion... my God, the green forests are amazing. I just wanted to stop and calm down for a bit, just listening to music.

You might want to check the General Discussion subforum then, if you haven't yet.

The music.
The fact that difficulty is relative. The default game isn't that difficult but the game allows you to essentially make it as easy or hard as you want with things like hard-core and xmax challenges.
The mythological links.
The number of classes. There are 36 different classes I believe, and whilst some are similar you can still be a warrior, mage or archer, or spearman, and even then mages are very diverse with frost, lightning and fire.
The length of the game. Seriously. I admit I'm a slow player but to finish just normal took me 100 hours at least. Though that was wit hhardcore xmax. ;)

i feel like necroing this today :)

i feel joy in this game when I'm thinking and making ridiculous builds that shouldn't be advisable to play.. not character combinations but builds/playstyles.

i feel no joy in making a character that i know will be good even before i create the character.. or a character that i know how to play even before i play it.. the journey's no fun if you know where you're going.

my hope to make a strong int based conqueror still lives :) .. the problem is i get bored with single target attack toons too quickly.. but I'm open for an int based brigand or something.. and no i have no intention of nerfing the characters.. if the unconventional build is not even as good then it's not an alternative build.

I am still torn on ragnarok because it does offer more builds but when the game is like suggesting you the build, how is it unconventional? still, i like that it got a DLC.
