Title: What do potions taste like?

I've always wondered what they taste like. Nobody, in any game,book, or movie ever explains it that I know of. Aside from R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms series describing it as a warm feeling when you drink it but not really describing its taste.

i only know of the magic potion getafix makes in asterix

it's not mentioned there but I'm sure the mistletoe should be cut by a golden sickle or else it will not work.. that potion should be banned in TQ though because if we use it, we could maybe one-shot Hades

A warm feeling... Helps keep you going through wounds and exhaustion... Red colour. Yeah I think it's just wine.

More serious answer would be - they are probably made by herbs and taste like herbal tea. Except divine potions, which have a divine taste :D

Red potions probably taste indeed to something like cinnamon liqour adjusted with a handfull of sugar. Blue potions in a way to methol / eucalypthus.

I'd suppose the red ones taste somewhat like a mix of alcohol and herbs - maybe similar to "jägermeister" as for the blue potions i'd agree on something along the lines of what NeonimusX wrote.

Red pots should taste like pomegranate mixed with alcohol and other ingredients from an alchemy book.


Blue pots would taste something like an energy drink with a refreshing taste and smell. Blue bull.
