Help with bug in quest

This is one of the quests near the beginning of Act V when you kill the ghost in the salt mine and you have to choose to give it to two people. The thing is, is that I have the ring in my inventory but no one wants to take the ring. What should I do?

have you tried deleting the .que file?

No I havent, is there anything I should watch out for when deleting it? It won't mess up my achievement progress?

Where even is this file because I'm having trouble finding it?

first you have to make sure your quest really got bugged
what does your quest log say?
talk to them several times (Gorcun? and the lady)
drop the ring and pick it up again, then talk to them again
if it's really bugged.. uhhh this will be long so later.. got some things to do.. but many members here are long time TQ players.. I'm sure they know what to do
