Who knows where the corpse fadeout time is determined?

I would like the slain enemies to disappear almost immediately... I want this, because I don't like the way the dead bodies are laid out on the ground (like flexible puppets) in impossible positions.

I noticed that the game doesn't pick up on custom arc files. I made a mod, put all the assets in an arc and referenced these assets beginning with the arc's name: custom\npc\...
Is there an index table somewhere (I can't find it) that lists all arcs the game should look for?

Art Manager / Turn npc into enemy (monster)

I noticed that I cannot change the npc class in the art manager. I wanted to turn an npc into an enemy and thought that the easiest way to do this would be to change the class from npc to monster or monstercontroller, to make the character aggressive toward the player. but that field is not editable. the only option you get is to view the determining template but these are binary and not easily changed without hex editing...

Is there anything obvious I'm missing here?

What is the easiest way to replace one act with another?

Say, for example, I wanted to replace the Orient act with the Atlantis act so that while playing the game you would go from Egypt to Atlantis... Would I do that copying and replacing (arc-extracted) files or would it be quicker to copy and paste the atlantis map and replace the orient map in the editor?
