Title: Help a new player

I'm new of the game, got it from Steam in free offer, but not new to this kind of games even if i found this one, compared to other RPG like Skyrim, very micro unfriendly and that could be the reason i'm doing that bad.

After a few unsuccessful attempts and after readin a lot of guides on the net i managed to create a couple good characters. My best one, and the one i'm asking help for, is a Conqueror Defence and Warfare; everything went very smooth, i killed easy Polyphemus, the Gorgon sisters and all Telkine, until i reached Olimpus. Before that i think i died two three times, to kill the cyclop i died 40 times because the only way i found to kill him was: Colossus, Shield Charge, a few, very few indeed hits, Die, resurrect, repeat until cyclop dead, but i'm not asking how to kill him easier and farm, seen how i'm going now i dont think i will restart at an harder difficulty level, i'm asking help because from Rhodes on, now i'm in Hades, i started to die often and after depleting a stack of near 150 health potions i had to buy 100 more to continue; i want to finish the game and if possible not die every other group of monsters i meet.

Being an old time gamer i well know the basic strategies like pulling, kiting etc; being a very old time gamer i think i know how to equip my character: fixed bonus use fast weapon, big multiplier on special attack use a slow powerful one, try not to use weapons with a kind of damage your opponent is resistant; being a REALLY old time gamer, i played DOOM the original and i was already an adult, my micro sucks and there is little i can do.

My build, according to some guides i read is pretty standard for the character: i'm level 35, i have both masteries maxed at 32; in Warfare: weapon training and onslaught maxed, a couple points in Standard and his child, a single point in Onlaught childs; in Defense: a couple points in Battle Awareness and his childs, one in Quick Recovery Shield Charge and all the passives on rightmost column, a few point in Charge child Disruption

My usual tactics is: look for the enemy caster, wait for someone near him, Shield Charge to mass stun, Standard, and hit using Batter when out of cooldown. This worked very well in Greece and Egypt, fairly well in China and sucks in Rhodes; when i win i always have to drink a potion to recover my health and very often a couple others during the fight. My armor is 333 OA 488 (i score nice crits often) DA 328 and resistances around 20%
My base stats are HPS 3558, mana 340, Str 469 Int 70 and Dex 266; havent found yet any Str Dex equipment i like but cannot use, i obviously sell all Int stuff
Most my equipment is blue apart a green, but Prometheus enhanced, mace DPS 450 and a yellow shield with +1 defence skill Archimedes enhanced; artifact is the Shroud of Eternal Night, a really powerful one that enhanced my life quality a lot when equipped, i have a few higher level ones but they dont look that good, and i realized that selling all duplicate blueprint was a stupid thing because i have the blueprint for an advaced one that requires an artifact i have but cannot rebuild

Hello and welcome!

After Orient and starting in Rhodes, monsters start to deal more physical dmg and as well Vitality dmg ( mostly use by nightstalkers with their purple spells and hades boss)

You need get some decent pierce resistance versus archers , specially machaes and meliones.

Окаy... this will be lenghty :D

First of all, if you're playing the game blind, i highly recommend clearing the entire maps, going inside every cave and dungeon and completing every single quest... The reason - there are quests that grant skill points, attribute points, or permanent bonuses, like health, or resistances... As a new player you have to clear everything to make sure you're not missing any of them, and also learn their locations.

Second, this game requires lots of farming if you want to reduce the challenge. If you try to just go through the acts on a single pass, without farming any bosses, it will be very difficult and only manageable with certain classes and builds. The Conqueror is a great starting class for newcomers, but is not going to make the game easy without good gear on him. But still, he's not too  gear dependent, because he has countless options for gearing... there's just so much loot out there that can be useful on him.

Now your build - for a level 35 Conqueror i recomend a build that looks like the link bellow (assuming you've completed all skill point quest up to this point, you should have 5 skill pints from quests and 102 from leveling - a total of 107. By the way, there's another quest that grants 2 skill points in act 4, so in total, you should be getting 7 skill points per difficulty or a total of 21 in the entire game... that's without the Ragnarok expansion of course.

From now on, focus on maxing the entire Onslaught tree, and then max the rest of the shield passive skills - Disable and Shield Smash. Respec the points from Batter, that skill is good for leveling in the early game... once you have maxed Pulverize and Onslaught on your left mouse button, there's no need for Batter.

After you max out the Onslaught tree and the shield passive skills, then max Dodge Attack first, and Quick Recovery after. Quick Recovery is good when it's maxed and even better with some +skills and -recharge gear, so you can have it active at all times... With only one point it wont do much of a difference. After these two (DA and QR) are maxed, max the Battle Standard Tree and Disruption next. After that max Focus, and put some points into Rally, (around 7-8), just enough to be able to recover 70-80% of your health pool - this will be your panic button skill for Legendary Difficulty. After that max Battle Awareness, and you're done. Any points after that you invest in Battle Rage and Crushing Blow, as well as Defensive Reaction and Adrenaline.

^If this is too confusing, below i'll post a bunch of links of my prefered skill point distribution, for every 10 levels

Your Attribute points distribution should be 1:1 Strength/Dexterity, but you can also put some points into health - If you're scared you wont have enough str or dex for a piece of gear, then don't invest in health... Or check TQ Item Database (google it) to see the max requirements on gear, and do the math. You can also check the item database to get an idea of the possible items you can find across all 3 difficulties, and plan your build ideas ahead of time.


Now, the most important thing... Don't look at your DPS number, that's a secondary priority - try raising your resistances and attack speed as much as possible. Your shield should be a combination of good resistances, high block chance and high damage offense... because remeber, as a Conqueror, your shield also serves as a weapon.

Don't use maces right now... you need your attack speed to be close to 200% and so you can reach the attack speed cap (222%) with Onslaught (the Ardor synergy). Why is speed so important? Because many of the skills on the Conqueror have percentage chance to activate/proc... like the shield attacks, or the the crushing blow when you rage is active, or for charging the Onslaught quickly.  Which means that a fast weapon will be way more effective overall than a heavier, slow mace, even if the mace has a better DPS.
 
That's why focus on using only swords at this stage of the game. Look where you can farm a Sabertooth sword in Act 3 - it's very easy to get. See what your overall speed is when you equip it - if the speed is around 190%, then upgrade it with the relic Valor of Achiles with damage as a completion bonus. If the attack speed is lower than that, you can upgrade it with the same relic but with attack speed as a completion bonus - the choice is yours to make. But focus only on using swords for now. In legendary diffculty, you can find maces with huge attack speed bonuses and the legendary version of the Valor of Achiles relic gives and insane 53% attack speed boost (with speed completion bonus),... only then you can reliably use a mace as a conqueror and the damage will be insane.


Now here's a complete guide on how to distribute your skill points. Keep in mind, this is my personal preference for playing a conqueror... i'm not saying this is the optimal route.

Feel free to ask any question in regards to the build or farming locations. Just remember, the DPS number is not that important for this build as long as you have good resistances, defensive ability, and at least 180-190% attack speed (without counting the effect of the Onslaught's Ardor).

About the gear - anything with resistances and defensive ability will be great for you. Just try to balance it out, When it comes to damage bonuses on gear - focus entirely on physical damage and avoid elemental and piercing, unless, the piece of gear that has these bonuses, also has other benefitial stats that you just can't pass on. What i mean is don't replace a 20% physical damage armor for a 40% elemental or piercign damaga armor, unless there's somethign else on it that you might find to be more useful.

+skills gear is amazing to have for this character. Look how to farm the Stonebinder's Cuffs in each difficulty and also watch out for a green Hallowed Helmet - they can be bought at vendors, or drop randomly on the battlefield.
Check the vendors all the time... every time you visit town always check the blacksmith and pay attention to green items (both weapons and armors). You can buy a weapon and equip it without leaving the vendor's inventory, and if you feel like it's no worth it, you can sell it back for the same price... but only if you don't leave the vendor, while equiping/unequiping the piece.

Speaking of which... pick up every every item (mnus the white and grey ones) and sell them... money is important, you will need a lot of gold in later difficulties. Removing relics and charms in epic and legendary difficulty can cost dozens of millions of gold. In legendary difficulty, you will need between 20-50 million gold to buy a good green weapon from the vendors, so if you don't want to stay in one place and farm gold - pick up everything and sell it as you go through the game.

And remember - death is not the end. It's perfectly normal to die a lot on your first playthrough, so don't feel bad about it... even if you have a strong character, there are just too many things that will catch you off-guard and kill you. You will have to do many replays, and read many guides, until you get used to the different enemy and damage types and learn how to protect yourself againts them ahead of time. The game can be a bit unfair at times for casual players (like me)... especially with te ridiculous resistance penalty on legendary difficulty (i hate it), that is completely unbalanced and punishing

Long detailed answer, lot of stuff to look at, thanks a lot; very nice from you.

Just a few things before i look at the details and try the new respec:

First thing; to respec is the guy with a blue ball over his head found in big market cities?

At first glance the spec you suggest isnt very different from mine; i should remove 7 points from Onslaught, that looked so good to me, and put them in Armor Handling and in the Rally tree, remove Batter and put points in Iron Will. Not a great change.i

You also suggest using a fast weapon to get the best from passives in the rightmost Defence column; i get the logic: low chance skills but many more attempts using a fast weapon. Replacing my mace with the Blue sword Yin i have in storage i go from 124 to 150 Attack Speed, i gain some DA and i get a strange +98% life leech without a base number to calculate the 98% (IMHO life leech is useless as a mean of regaining HPS
I was already looking for an hallowed helmet but i never found one in dunno how many vendors i visited as i never found a divine amulet +skill; i also already farmed the stonebinder cuffs to discover they look weak compared to the blue i have with better armor, 10% attack speed, 23 Str and the 10% chance of a nice retaliation  (Lazarus Bracers)

Last thing before going to bed because here it's 2 AM: you suggest to continue playing Epic after finishing the game even if i'm suffering a lot in normal difficulty. In Skyrim Fallout i play at the hardest level, but unless i want to play a two handed heavy warrior i can perfecly manage everything the game puts against me; here i'm playing one of the strongest classes, even if not perfectly optimized and i'm suffering as hell to finish the game; killing the Titan i was very close to stop and play something else; i died 30 times and i continued just for not leaving the game unfinished just because i had the inspiration to use Charge and die and try again; every other attempts made the titan stronger than before i attacked him including bow hit and flee and summoning cyclops from a scroll. I'm not sure i want to face the Gorgon Queens or the superghost i forgot the name.

Don't put points into Rally yet... that skill is for later difficulties if you decide to try your luck there and see the build fully developed.

For now, follow the first link in my post - it matches your level (35), from then on, every next level start maxing out your Onslaught and your Ardor, after that the other Onslaught skills (look at the next link, the level 40 one), and then follow all other links... As far as spreading the skill points, this is a solid approach, a more defensive one as well, as some people might prefer maxing the Battle Standard tree, before Quick Recovery and Dodge.

Skyrim and Fallout are different beasts... they are story driven RPG's, they don't really require much thought into how you build the character, and they're less complex in that regard. They also don't require farming for loot. Titan Quest is a hack'n'slash ARPG in the veins of Diablo 2... so min maxing your character and theory crafting powerful builds with a variety of randomized loot is the whole point of the game. You complete the game by replaying the campaign 3 times, with an increased difficulty each time, while keeping your character and improving on your experience levels, skills and loot. And since the loot is completely random, to get the really good items requires you to push your luck, by farming bosses again and again and again... and not only bosses, but also specific monster types too, depending on what your class/build needs... This type of games is not for everyone, because some people don't enjoy farming and replaying the same areas again and again. But if you give it a chance, you might get very addicted to it.

Here's what i suggest for your journey ahead... go back to act 3 and kill some tigermen near the city of Chang'an... they can drop a olive green sword called Sabertooth - this is the weapon that will carry you to the end of normal difficulty. If you're not sure where to look for it, check your message box, i sent you a link with a very extensive walkthrough where i attempted to complete the game deathless with a conqueror. Take some time and read through the pages and the screenshots... Just ignore the 5th and 6th act, those are from the new expansions. You will learn where to farm a bunch of stuff there, and how to progress your skills. Since you don't have Ragnarok, which is amazing for getting good gear before epic... just get the Sabretooth and try to raise your resistances as much as possible, while following the links above for your skills... then try to complete Act 4 and jump straight to Epic difficulty. In epic, your resistances will get a -40% penalty, but believe it or not, acts 1 and 2 in epic are way easier than acts 3 and 4 on normal. You can quickly run past the Spartan Camp, if you want you can kill the Centaur boss a few times, and of course turn in the quest to get a free skill point. When you reach the village of Tegea, there will be a new boss that spawns only in epic and legendary, called The Boar Snatcher - look on google for his exact location. Stay there and kill him at least 100 times, you should get some upgrades and some good epic relics... Keep a close eye for green items, especially swords, as you can now upgrade them with the epic Valor of Achiles, with +39% attack speed... forget about blue weapons, they are useless, because they cannot be socketed with relics and charms...

On Epic difficulty, you can also find legendary items (purple in color), but they don't drop often, you'll be lucky if you find one or two in the first 3 acts... however the Titan (Typhon) has a really good chance of dropping them, so once you get to him you should farm him a lot, 100-200 runs. And don't worry, he'll be way easier in this difficulty... same goes for all bosses.

One reason why Typhon might have caused you problems the first time is his damage reflection skill. Notice when his body gets covered with spikes, i stop attacking him. That skill reflects your damage back to you, and you can easily kill yourself while the spikes are on. Another reason he's so tough, is his vitality damage drain attack... you need high vitality resistance to counter it... otherwise he drains your life and replenishes his. To raise vitality resistance, you need to upgrade yellow or green rings with Demon's Blood charm, and Helmets with a special charm that you get at the end of act 4, if you complete the Crystal of Erebus quest... Just make sure to explore everything, you can't go wrong with that :D


And again, i can't stress enough how important is to check the vendors, there's so much random stuff that will help you raise resistances, health and damage. But let's go back to your journey on epic difficulty...

After you're done farming the Boar Snatcher, continue through the act, kill the Cyclops and the Gorgon Queens, they'll be way easier this time... Keep going until you reach the Minoan Labyrinth at the end of the act. At the entrance of the labyrinth, there will be a new boss awaiting you - Talos the Master Autmatoi... you need to kill him and enter the labyrinth, then grab the first rebirth fountain inside and exit the game, so you can kill Talos again and again, starting from that fountain. Do at least 100 Talos runs there. In act 2 go ahead and farm the Telkine boss in the Valley of Kings, he's always in the same Tomb. Do 100 runs there too. When you get to act 3, farm another Sabretooth sword - on this difficulty it will have improved damage and stats... Then farm Typhon... A LOT! If you're feeling strong after that farm the final boss of act 4 too


If you decide to go to legendary, there's only 3 bosses worth farming there - the Larnean Hydra, that spawns only in that difficulty, in the Athens' Marsh. The other two are Typhon and Hades... oh though, you don't need to farm Hades if your goal is to complete legendary difficulty. The Hydra has the best loot table up to Typhon, so there's no point to farm any other boss, before the titan. If you really want to get crazy items, this is the place to farm, and you need to do a lot of farming, at least 200-300 runs, or more. You will also get the divine recipe Talisman of the Jade Emperor, which is the best one for a Conqueror, period! You can craft the artifact when you reach act 3 where the last of the need components can be found. Crafting Divine artifacts is not easy, the amount of stuff you need to find will drive you crazy... that's why keep all recipes and relics/charms you find - don't sell them unless you get multiple duplicates of the same recipe.


And once again, consider checking out the Game Attendant's farming guide on youtube and the channel Clex Plays for variety of TQ guides - you will learn a lot there.

About Rally was my mistake, i meant Battle Awareness tree; there are no Rally points in the build suggested; what leaves me a bit perplexed is removing points from Onslaught to put them in Pulverize and Iron Will when you say to reallocate them in Onslaught as a priority in next levels; as a first step i'll remove batter, Quick Recovery, Dodge  and a couple points in Disruption and i put them in Pulverize. It's not i dont trust you it's that i love Onslaught too much; seeing my yellow circle getting thick and my enemies falling is too much fun, in next levels i'll allocate points as you suggest, things should catch up in a few levels.

To farm yellows for gold is something i stopped doing after having some 3 millions in cash is just a little annoyance, nothing compared to running the same four rooms a shitload of times to get the stonebinders. This game has no inventory management, you can always portal to a vendor, so i'll keep doing it.

ATM my exact build is this one; maybe i missed a quest, havent checked

I already looked at the farming video, it's where i found the stonebinder farming in labirynth; now i'll give a try at the tiger in China to try get the Sabertooth; there are plenty of tigers, way more than the gorgons in the lab; perhaps it's better first get the fast sword and later respec to get advantage from it.

Skyrim on legendary is a different kind on min max. You need to become the stronger WITHOUT leveling up because the level of enemies you get depends from your level so you need to spend a few hours going around collecting flowers and fishes and avoiding fights at all cost because even a rat is a deadly opponent until you have some serious equipment; the story will wait, and i mean wait a lot before tackling the first dragon.

I looked at your titan video; just wish to be able to move and react fast as you do. Micro management is very important here and the times i went into trouble with my archer for misclicking a monster and running into the mob are way too many; at least the conqueror is built to go in the middle of the fight and stay there being hit while hacking and slashing, a lot less precision needed.

It's my lucky day, got a sabertooth in the first run after killing some 20 tigers: 35-42 Dmg 10 Vitality dmg 15 Dex 17 OA and a juicy 30% Attack speed Now i have 176% AS

It's interesting that DPS didn change from my old mace 443 vs 447, the speed compensate for the lower punch; what's the best way to improve it? I have an Anubis Wrath +50 dmg vs undead and +8% AS and two Achilles 5 dmg +12 AS and 33% slower attack or 5% chance stun for 2 sec; a Prometheus with fire dmg and a 23% Fire resist looks less interesting if i need to pump up speed

If Ghosts are undead, they should even if they are marked Ghost i'd go for Anubis if not for the slowing enemies Achilles; waiting for your opinion while playing a bit with a low level char, have a couple of them that are doing very well in Greece and are also fun to play

I respecced a little bit, just removed Quick Recovery and a two points in Disruption to put them into Pulverize; now with the new sword i'll remove Batter and put points in Pulverize and Armor Handling

You can max Onslaught first and then max the shield passives, the choice is yours. I don't want to tell you how to play the game, having your own freedom to choose will make it more enjoyable for you... i'm sharing my point of view and my personal preference for playing this class. And believe me, this is the class i have played the most in this game... If i have 50 characters over the last 10 years, at least 35 of them are Conquerors, that's how much i love it. Right now i'm attempting an elemental melee hybrid, and i already miss the conqueror :D
But like i said, whatever you do, it's all fine. You get unlimited respecs, and the price for respec caps at 45k, so you have a lot of room for experimentation.

I see the build you've posted - it's good. I only have one critique - you have 3 points in Disable... i would suggest maxing Pulverize before the other two shield passives - Pulverize is the best.


For the Sabertooth you need Essence of Valor of Achilles with additional attack speed as completion bonus. There's a trick you can do, if you have 1 Valor of Achilles shard, add it to the Sabertooth, then on top of it add a full relic of Valor of Achilles or two more shards - this will guarantee you the Attack Speed completion bonus. You will reach 190% attack speed and with maxed Ardor, you will get above 200% when the Onslaught is charged. This should be good enough to carry you to the end of normal and even the first two acts in epic, unless you find something better there. You can definitely find a more powerful sword from vendors in epic... And like i said, in epic you can roll 39% attack speed on Valor of Achiles following the same trick - by adding the shards one by one to a weapon. So the more you progress, the easier it will get to max your attack speed. And let's not forget that on epic you get a much better Sabertooth once you reach act 3.

If you don't feel like farming the normal Stonebineder's Cuffs, then don't... better farm them in Epic where they'll give you +2 to all skills. If you want more damage, you can upgrade the Stonebinders with Essense of the Rage of Ares - this is an act 4 relic, that you will eventually complete. If you don't feel like putting more damage, just socket the Stonebinders with something that adds resistance.


Yeah, playing an archer build can get very rough at some point... Later on, it also gets very gear dependent, with loot that is not easy to get... It doesn't help that one of the most powerful skills in the Hunting Mastery (Scatter Shot) got severely nerfed in the Anniversary Edition. The Conqueror, or any other melee build that combines Defense mastery with something else, is way more friendly for new players. Options like Templar (Defense+Dream), and Warden (Defense+Hunting) are all great... I haven't tried it yet, but i think a Runesmith (Defense+Rune) can also be a very reliable starter build, but for that you need Ragnarok.

LOL i was playing my petmaster Nature Spirit that is also in China and when reaching Chang an i found another Sabertooth, looks like it's a common drop, or that i need to buy a lottery ticket today

The new one has +39 AS the old was 30 but the old one has a 10 vitality damage the new one none. Same values for OA and DEX I think the new one is better for the build i'm doing so l put Achilles on it, a single shard first and a full one later and now i have a nice 207% Attack Speed on top of a Very Fast blade, passives will trigger often

Respecced again, now i have Pulverize 6 Armor Handling 5 and one point in the other two, just in case i find the +skill helmet.

Think i'm ready to go back to Hades and start chopping bad guys; i'll update once i find some interesting fight. I'm in the Plains of Judgement, just explored a little and found nothing worth reporting.

You're doing great, but still, you shoudn't be surprised if you find the rest of act 4 a bit too hard, that's perfectly normal. You're approaching what is the hardest part of the game, up until epic's act 4 :D Tower of Judgement and what comes after that all the way to the end is brutal! Everything will hit very hard, especially machae Master and Grandmaster Archers, be aware of those. Melee attackers shouldn't worry you too much, just keep stunning them with war horn and take a step back if you get overwhelmed.
There's also a boss fight at the end of the Tower of Judgement but i don't want to spoil it for you... just keep some items with poison resistance on the side, because you will need them for that fight.

PS: Also, if you see an enemy called Dactyl - RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Believe me! :D These can spawn only in the final dungeon of the act.

I met the Machae and they delivered my arse back to me on a platter; archers are really nasty, when you hit them they dont stay put like most ranged monster do, but move around so you need to follow them to hit again and this while his friends keep shooting. Died a few times even after rising my pierce res to 50%; other monsters: ice and fire demons, are a piece of cake just remember to use the fire or cold ring if they are red or blue, the flying pink poisonous squids are instead really nasty vith their poison cloud bombs; had to buy a new hat with poison res not to die every time.
I dont remember a particular boss fight, a boss killed me but i had my rematch using colossus and a lot of potions. I barely manage to pay potions selling the loot i get in the dungeon; i use near 50 every level, luckily i have some 4 mils in cash so i'm not worried too much.

Now i just met Agamennon in Elysium; the landscape doesnt look hellish anymore, but i dont expect it will be a stroll to the end. Lets see how it goes, my educated guess is that final boss will be another run hit die resurrect like Titan was and i hope loot will be better because the Titan just dropped some shards and a few yellows, not even a green piece.

New spec is fun; it's incredible how fast i chop even if i dont see the 500 hits like before i see very many 200 250; is there a way to see when one of my passives procs?

Found at a vendor a divine amulet +1 skills and equipped it; whats better enhancement? plumes for poison with choice beetween 15 bleed res or 15 DA looks interesting as is Ajax with 21 res sleep stun slow and 15 vitality resistance; i guess i will use this amulet for a long time.

It's hard to see when a passive procs because of how fast you attack, but normally when you perform the shield attack the game calculates both the shield and the weapon damage as a double attack, so you see two damage numbers pop up at the same time, one for the sword hit and one for the shield attack. But like i said, it's almost impossible to differentiate what is happening because of how fast you attack and the flurry of numbers that pop up. When you hit with Pulverize, the screen shakes, so at least you know when that one hits. You can also see the hero swinging with the shield every time a shield passive procs. The other passives, like Rage and Adrenaline, have a sound cue when they proc, and they also have separate icons that appear next to your character portrait in the upper left corner of the screen

The final boss is easy if you max your Vitality Resistance... He has a few attacks that you need to avoid at all cost. When you enter the room with the boss, at first, don't go directly at him, wait until he shoots his first attack - a big red orb. If that thing lands on your head, it will one shot you, even with max vitality resistance. After you avoid the orb, just drop a Battle Standard and Colossus Form, and hack away. In his second form, he casts a red vortex on the floor that chases you around, so try to avoid that as well, as it can kill you fast. Other than that, he should be a piece of cake if you have above 50% Vitality Res.

That Divine Amulet will be good if you don't sacrifice resistances to wear it. At this point you should be aiming to have piercing, elemental, poison and vitality resistance all maxed out (or at least above 50%), because in epic difficulty, they'll drop with 40% and the last thing you want is to have your resistances in the negative numbers. Bleeding Resistance is less important, i guess, since you don't have Act 5 where there are a lot of enemies dealing bleeding damage. So prioritize the other resistances. Physical resistance doesn't get a penalty in higher difficulties, and you already get a small raise to it from Onslaught, so don't worry too much about it. If you can raise it more, that will be great, but the other resistances are much more important going forward.

When you get to Epic consider crafting a Greater Artifact, if you get a useful recipe. Kingslayer is a nice one to have, it might reduce your DPS slightly, but it gives +1 to all Warfare skills and raises physical resistance, which will make you tankier.  You can also get it with a nice health or resistance boost as a completion bonus, which will make it better overall than the Shroud of Eternal Night. Kingslayer is also part of the recipe for crafting the Talisman of the Jade Emperor, which makes it a must-have item.

There are other greater artifacts, like Symbol of the Polymath or Tyrant's Fist, that are better than the Kingslayer, but the recipes for these crafts can be found only in legendary according to the item database.

ATM i just met Odisseus and entered the palace; first boss inside was easy: you are big i'll become bigger than you, let's see who pounds harder. Reaching the palace was fun but easier than going out from Hades; more or less same monsters but i knew how to engage them, next time will be even easier i guess.

Vitality attacks are the red explosions i guess, there is just before meeting Odisseus a Witch Queen or something doing huge damage that if approached from north you will have a full platoon of greek heroes at your side, if you are smart like i'm and approach her from east there is a hell of a fight but you receive congratulations from the heroes when you meet them and say i have already killed the bitch. I will look at vitality res, apart colossus and standard that raise it but wont last the time of a boss fight, dont know if i have equipment in storage; at worst i'll try some shopping around

Finished Hades; the final boss was easier than the Menae general and dropped a nice Halloweed helmet i immediatly put on my head.

Restarted the game in epic; satyrs are lvl 40 but arent more difficult than the lvl 2 ones agains a new char and drop nice stuff that my baby chars could use; once i reach Sparta i'll farm a bit the centaur boss and see what is chest drops.

Act 1 and Act 2 in epic are more easy in terms of difficulty than act 4 normal, so its a good opurtunity to farm some equipment that you are missing.

My ideas are: Nessus, Spider Cave, Undead area with 3 lords, Polyphemus; bit more dubious about gorgon sisters, Kings valley, first Telkin. The same farmable at normal difficulty

i would skip the skelleton princes , they arent worthy to farm, probably Nessus-Tegea spider as they are near of the rebirth fountain making easy and more fast to do runs.

From Nessus i got the Outrider Buckler; good but not strong like it was at level 7, i probably have one better, and not reciclable to a newbie being lvl 24. Anything else worth farming?

1- save button is just for cosmetic i guess, since the game saves you at the last rebirth fountain you selec, maybe in the past it was used for something.

2- Elemental does affect fire-lighting-cold, remenber in epic your character resistances does get reduced by -50% maybe that armor had boost of lighting-cold (?)

It probably reduces the cold and light resistances because your old armor gives more cold and light res than your new one

For a new sword, your only hope is the vendors, look for one with extra attack speed and physical damage bonuses. It might not be better right away, you will have to upgrade it with the epic version of Valor of Achilles.

I'm not sure what Epic and Legendary swords can be dropped at this point of the game, and if they're going to be better than the option above.

It probably reduces the cold and light resistances because your old armor gives more cold and light res than your new one

If i wear Cleansing Arachnos Chitin of Impulse with Poison 19% and Slow 72% res, no resistances on fire ice lightning i have Fire 43 Cold 10 Lightning 11
If i switch it to Juggernaut Ornamented Suit of Thorns that has 12 Elemental 24 Stun and some retribution i should IMPROVE fire cold Lightning but instead i go to Fire 55 Ice 2 Lightning 1; i imrove fire +12%  but reduce other two of 10% Same thing happens using a Apple Bearer Mail +12 elemental and other stuff; puzzling indeed

Havent discovered yet how to attach screenshots, if i manage i will post them

Polyphemus farming was a waste of time; run it a dozen times and just got a couple shards and lots of money from the vendor, now i have 25M in cash; not a blue not a recipe. Now farming the Big Green Spider Arachna

Take some pics and share them, to see where the problem with your resistances is, you must be missing something here...

If you want good results from farming, 10-20 Cyclops runs, are not going to cut it, unless you get very lucky. I can't really tell how good Polyphemus is for getting loot, since i never farm him on epic. In Epic i only run the Boar Snatcher and Talos.

it's because it's not 10 and 11 you're seeing but -10 and -11. you add 12 so it becomes 2 and 1. epic reduces resists by 40

Exactly; the snowflake and the lightning were covering the minus sign. Problem solved

Boar Snatcher, just met him, dont remember where but wasnt long ago, ATM i just met the blacksmith after the swamp. Need to look at the wiki and backstep a bit
Is Shadowsomething big black wolf in the side cave worth farming; tried it with a death desire and stomped it like a bug when i remember him killing me easy on normal; no majestic chest and no meaningful drop.

Found a pretty decent sword at a vendor 70-75 dmg +29 phisical +8% str  +9% AS plus 40% of Achilles and a bit of lightning dmg. Payed it some 3 millions if i remember, but money is here to be spent not to be kept in the chest and i have more than 50M away ready to be spent.

Also found a shield with +2 def skill, but need some carapace to enhance it and i know it drops from beetles in egypt; could use it with Talsos, no arrows, but sure not where there are archers around.

Found the Lionheart recipe, with some nice stats and +1 defence skill,  but ATM i only have the Molten Orb, missing recipes of Raven Shadow and Tome of Transfiguration

Reached Knossos and found Talos the big automaton; fairly easy to kill, just need to drink a couple potions, even if his stun is very strong considering i have 80% resistance, and quick to reach from first fountain inside Labyrinth. Think i'll farm him a couple dozen times, loot is interesting in four runs i got two blue
