A new MI set on the making:


Will be dropped by Artemisian Maidens (Oceanid Nymphs that hunt with Artemis), and turned into an illusion as well. This exceptional armor set was made by @Amaryllis , I reshaped it to fit for male and textured it.
Also, I have good news - the mod has been unflagged by Nexus (contacted the staff, thanks to @Argonil on Discord for his advice)
Only I'm not sure if I should put the DLLs as a separate download file. Maybe it's better, so they don't have to be verified again with each new update? Will see.

There are too many changes, I don’t think it’s possible to integrate into an existing dll (at least for me).
Ok, the mod is uploaded to Mega then:

This will be the only place to download it from, as i suspect that Steam might reject it too. It's unfortunate, but not the end of the world.

@HekTo , Nexus quarantined the latest update. Dammit. I'm not sure what should be done in this case.
Is there a way to edit the default TQ DLLs directly, without injecting external code?
Another option is to upload it to Mega. No one even endorsed the mod on Nexus so far anyway.

The next version is on Nexus.

04.04.2024:
- Illusions can now change the character's base model (replace the previous version DLLs with the new ones to enable this feature), thanks to HekTo for this new mechanic
- All separate armor illusions are remade to full Set Illusions (much faster and easier to apply)
- Added a few Monster Illusions (Phasma, Automaton), replacing the player character with fully armored monster model
- Replaced the default male model with Theseus v8
- reworked Greek dyes for both playing characters
- Tweaked Illusionst's NPC dialog
- The general vendor in Helos now sells all Greek dyes and they all cost 1 gold

Some progress:
Arachnos, Gorgon Archer and Gorgon melee armor pieces are converted to full sets (both characters). Remains reworking Automaton and Skeleton and i can release the next version.
Also I tweaked the male character specifically for the new illusion sets. He is a bit more "handsome" now:

I think with that both character models can be considered finalized.

Ok, a slight change of initial plans - i decided to make armor illusions to full sets instead of separate pieces (especially MI armors). There are 3 main reasons for that:
1. I have to make hundreds of different pieces for trasmog, while in the end players will most likely pick pieces that match best, and that is the purpose of a set in the first place.
2. Set illusions take just one click to apply in difference to separate ones, where you have to apply each illusion to the appropriate piece of equipment. And you have to do that each time you restart the mod or equip new armor... it's time consuming and a bit annoying.
3. Much more space in vendor's inventory for different illusions with the new method. The first 9 MI sets I currently added have filled half of the Illusionist's inventory already. This means i have to add dozens of Illusionsts NPCs to hold the common and rare versions of MIs. And Uniques are not even started... neither are mount, monster and deity illusions. It's just too much to handle.
So, what is the new plan - each MI set will be a custom mesh consisting of the character (optionally a monster) + an armor set (optionally with a mount). It may sound more difficult, but it's actually easier for me to do. I just have to combine the stuff in 3DSMax and things are set.
Regarding weapon illusions, i'll leave them separate, it's the best way imo.
I know that some Grim Dawn players may complain that the system will not be the same as in GD. To be honest, I dont care much about Grim Dawn, I don't even play it or like it, what I care about is what is functional in TQ. Point given :D

@HekTo , I tried different ways to hide the attachments after unequip and none of them worked. You were right to hide them. So I'm reverting to the previous dll, without the attachments enabled. We'll manage without them :)

I was wondering, is it possible to show effects and other attachments on the replacement character mesh? Similar to how you enabled them on weapons/armor after applying the illusion 2 times?
But even if not possible, your latest invention works fantastic! I'll test with adding mounted characters next.
