Remember that some items in inventory were able to increase the light radius, the kind of items especially wanted by all D2 ranged classes.

It seems Medea that you, Gascorun and I, have differences in Xmax version. The 3 sisters spawn x3 in my Xmax version but only one eye is  left contrary to the the pic of Gascorun where 3 eyes are left. Therefore i took a pic at the beginning of the fight and at the end. Actually this is not the good way because i wanted to do the same for 3x Cerberus since there is no remnants. But the time needed to pull and printscreen (i m not quick  ;D) and my life was already near mid-level.

Great work Botebote, i appreciate in particular the way you rank the skills, videos as examples, and the skills stats at ultimate level  ;)

Concerning the skills Throwing Knife and Flurry of Knives, you say

Progress from Gustav:

The Barmanu pull was a disaster. I wanted to pull carefully with the help of the nightmare. I ordered the pet in defensive stance, to go farther and farther, so that he body pulls one Barmanu. As a result,  I saw 3 Barmanu rushing at me. Oups ! I only had time to release the guardian stones. The next seconds, clearly i was in panic mode, running between multiple ice showers like a chicken with its head cut off. Actually the stones and the pet were the targets, not Gustav. Finally, the knightmare survived the time needed for Gustav to take off one Barmanu, the stones 2 Barmanu. It was a close call  :o Too bad that i did'nt printscreen.

At lvl 39, my old gear was replaced by the set of the dreamweaver and the rest of the act was less difficult, even Typhon. Gustav is now lvl 42 at Rhodes.

The throwing weapons here come from a vendor shop in Act 5 (bought by a legendary toon). I suppose you can also find throwing axes as dropped items (eg by trolls) in act 5. The same is true for example for chakrams you can find in act 3, knives mainly in act 1 & 2, they are related to the storyline.

Progress from Gustav:
At mid-Act2, i maxxed ToW and lucid dream so that i could wear, with use,  some gear with %Electric burn damage. Hence, i made some easy XP farming through egyptian fields (with good shoes). I never made before an auramancer and although it isn't the aim of this build, it is worth a try especially with Xmax. I will keep it a while, that's some fun ;)

I got a bug with the sphynx in Xmax and had to do it in normal without the mod to achieve the fight, so no pic there.

Gustav is currently lvl 37 and resting near babylon.

@corian: Guardian stones are our best friend with boss, sure, but take care of Chimera. For some reason, the stones (lvl 16) were destroyed instantly at the beginning of the fight, maybe by aoe effects, not sure.

Great, a stonespeaker with 2 chakram of the sun should be really a shinning toon ;D

Maybe one can complete the set with 6 pieces instead of 7. Unless someone here has already completed the set, the bonus set is not indicated in TQDB. As Malgardian said, these sets have been introduced too recently.

Btw, I am really curious about the Shades set. The bow is impressive while the staff is not. A full set should open the way to a great bonecharmer, i hope.

The set is composed of 2 throwing weapons:

Curiously , these chakrams are not referred in TQDB as parts of a set. The 2 weapons, individually, have already nice stats, and ingame the bonus set is a huge +40% Total damage.
One is designated towards earth , the other towards dream with +2 skills in each mastery. Indeed if you want to make the best of the set as an evoker (earth+dream), you can't equip the 2 weapons...

Therefore, either the set is badly designed (i don't want to believe it), either the designers are kidding with us  ::)

Since TQ-AE, there is much more items which give a granted skill, most of them i've seen are active skills (triggered on attack). So my question is: do you have ever seen an item that grants you a dual-wielding skill ? in that case the Chakram set could be fully used by an evoker.

If not, one mastery needs to be warfare or rune; what other mastery would you take for the best use of the set ?

There is also another trigger like pedestals: when you cross the gates to fight Hades or Surtr, the gate is closing. I know nothing in modding, maybe the trigger value can be read  ?

In addition to CrocMagnum and Bumbleguppy: one can imagine another chamber surrounded by open gates and a drawing on the pediment like in king's valley, e.g. 3 gates with either a sword, a staff or a bow. Gustav is now resting in Rhakotis (lvl 25). He had to redo minotaurs because the telkines were not in place. Not too much a problem in normal mode but in epic/legendary, sure,  it 's a nasty bug.
About the class Sedr worker, i struggled with dex requirements for regular green weapons because there is no dex from dream mastery and some dex from rune. But at lvl 21, things were better with a special green dropped from maenads: the jaguar claws (the legendary upgraded version is only lvl 21 and F55, Dex55 required !).

@botebote77: I didn't think about dactyles or toxeus but yes in that case, a wall would block the way. As Medea said, casters would take the best of it. In the last pic, i took a ternion shaman lvl 40, and even in plain field, monsters attack the wall so you are safe with your staff. Well only for a short moment... Because the tooltip says that the wall stands for 10s. It's not true: 7s at lvl max. Since the delay between casting walls is 22s, 70% CDR on items and some casting speed should make the trick. Another curious thing: if a monster breaks a stone eg in the middle, he rushes towards you across the broken wall but other monsters of the pack don't cross the wall and continue fighting the wall. One last thing, in some way you can control the direction of the wall, it depends where you click: ahead of you, the wall is like on the pic, but if you click on your left or right, the direction is perpendicular. With some pratice, it opens some strategies i guess. (btw sorry for my bad english).

I made some tests in the warcamps near Athens:
- Psionic Burn definitively works with throwing weapons but it isn't impressive  :( . The tooltip says 3.5m radius but the burn effect is not applied to all monsters within this radius...(even with the maximum points in Psionic burn). It seems that the real radius  is around 1-2m.
- Seal of fate is impressive and fun. In warcamps i tested this trick: rush the middle of a pack, apply seal of fate on you, then thunderstrike: the 1st pack is dead and a 2nd wave rushes to you. When the 2nd wave is on you, the seal explodes and splasssssh (pict 1) the 2nd pack is dead too. As you know, Boarmen tend to be overweight and 1pt is not good enough, but with 7 pts in seal of fate, they can fly (pic2)  ;D. My 1st opinion was to put 1 pt in seal of fate and max aftershock: a must have skill for boss. Now I changed my mind and will max the 2 skills.
- Menhir wall should be useful when maxed and with CDR: 1pt is not enough, the wall is rapidly destroyed under a pack. 10pts in the skill add more stones in the wall (1Pt = 3 stones, 10pts = 7 stones). Therefore, an upgraded wall should block a full pack (like in Wusao), and if you put a seal of fate on the wall... splasssh

@Corian: for the gorgons, you are right: guardian stones was the best way. But i still lack of points, with too much points in dream mastery.

Hi,

Rejoining the challenge with a Seidr worker, twinked (AER).
The build idea is to make a dual-wielding thrower based on Psionic touch, thunderstrike and runeword explode. Fast weapons should trigger these AOE effects frequently i hope.

Gustav is currently lvl 21 resting just after the gorgons. I've used a batrachos armor well loaded in Pierce resistances and % to avoid projectiles, %DA, that make the gorgons easier.
I thought at the beginning that 1 skill point in menhir wall was 1 pt wasted but necessary for guardian stones later. Guess I am wrong: a menhir wall draws attention from archers and may be useful in act 3,4.
