Pet Attack  is a control key that unlocks when you have a pet or so, instead of using your keyboard to command pets to attack, that "Pet Attack" is just right click to attack any foe

It was added on last major patch
Okay thanks, but where does the skill originate from? I've searched the mastery skill tree files and pet skill files but couldn't find any references, though it seems to get overwritten by my mod files.

I've ran into small problem with my mod. Someone mentioned they can't use "Pet Attack" with Skill Reworks active and testing it, I could confirm.
The thing is: is that a new skill that was added recently? I can't find it on any of the vanilla mastery skill lists or in the skill folders, so I have no idea how to fix this. Help  :))

I'm done with the database replacer and updated the pastebin link in the OP to the new version. The regular bounce version will take a little longer, eta is sometime today  ;D

Edit:
Done.

did you ever finish this mod? i somehow remember you saying it wasnt finished,
I finished it six weeks ago, but apparently I only updated the OP. But it's done.
I would have wished for a bit of feedback to balance a few things if needed, but got none.  :'(

Lavendarjosh, I just want to thank you for this mod. It's very fun to play with. I want to know when you will release the database replacer for the newest TQAE update 2.8

Thank you very much and continue with your work, it's much appreciated.
We finally got a detailed changelog again in 2.8 and it looks like I'll have to make some adjustments to the mod files to incorporate some changes made, so it'll take a while. And right now, it's just too friggin' hot here (39°C) to do any serious modding work at all. Lastly, from what I've read in the comments I expect a hotfix to be released in the next few days, so I probably won't make a database replacer before that's out.

But I'll work on it as soon as possible/reasonable.

Another thing you could do is use the database replacer of LootPlus and load Xmax as a bounce mod, so you can use both that way.

@Sir_Mac
I don't do merges with other people's mods myself without asking for permission, and I have no idea who even to contact for XmaX.
Maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned in that regard, but I've seen enough drama in modding communities over the time. There are several mods on Steam merging LootPlus with Xmax, I'd suggest contacting one of the authors and ask them to release a non-workshop version.

23
Can you make other lootplus custom map combine with 6players mod or Massbosses mod? Because there is some items only drop from Heroes monsters, and xmax doesn't increase chance to spawn Heroes much.
I usually don't do merges with other people's mods, but raising hero frequency should be really easy to do yourself. I've written a guide to mod merging some time ago that explains how to set this up here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1746931699
I think that all you'd have to do to add more heroes to this mod is import the gameengine.dbr (records/xpack/game) and under "Proxy Info" edit the ChampionMin and Championmax Modifiers, to 500.000000 for example.

@NotogamerGT
Don't worry the topic isn't dead  :D
To address your problems it would be valuable to know which version you're playing on (Steam/GoG) and which game version you are using. The most recent one should be 2.7b.
Regarding monster spawn problems, I added the "quick and dirty" double monsters version by request, but it's not as sophisticated as Xmax. There's an (unofficial) merge of LootPlus and Xmax on the Steam Workshop called "Loot Plus XMAX FTW", maybe that one would work better. If you don't have the game on Steam, you can try contacting the creator if he's willing to release it as a non-Steam version.

Athens merchants in all difficulties now somewhat rarely sell Act I Monster Infrequents
Hey, that's a nice idea.
Seems like your mod is coming along pretty well, I'll definitely give it a try next time I get TQ fever, although I'll probably butcher it a bit when I integrate it into my (private) master mod  ;D

It does sound pretty neat, although I admit I haven't tried it cause I don't play TQ at the moment. I imagine it being quite 'gong-ey' with the LootPlus version  ;D

As a side note, I noticed more and more mods popping up on Steam that are merges with LootPlus (one of them yours), while no one ever asked for my permission.
While I don't really mind (makes it look like my mod is pretty essential, which is nice), I consider it an act of courtesy to do so. In any case, consider this a "permission grante"  ;)

Hm, I tried repacking the files with ARC Encryptor, but it produced only garbage  ???

Without using a bounce mod would mean editing the game text archives themselves. Using ARCExplorer, extract the needed files (you should be able to tell by their names), edit them and put them back inside in a new archive with the same name and the same location.
The txt files that say "autogenerated file - DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES OR FACE YOUR DOOM!!"?  ;D
Or do I need to find the mythical strings.xls that's pointed at in some files?

I've got another question regarding text: is it possible to change text without using a bounce mod? Like using a database replacer only for text?

@Bumbleguppy
Fixing affixes and loot tables would be more a thing for the Lootplus mod, but I don't get paid enough to fix all the bugs in this game  :))
Jokes aside, I'd love to rebuild many parts of TQ from the ground up and I think there's a lot of room for improvements, but as long as they're still actively patching the game, I don't wanna get to work on something that could be obsolete a few days later.

You are my hero...
That one is on Bumbleguppy, I probably wouldn't have thought of that on my own.  ;)
