Title: best caster tank no pets? (original game no expations - mobile)
Post by: Dragonsnacks on 25 April 2020, 17:42:16
Normally I play bow classes, but I wanted to try a melee but only using caster classes.
Earth will be my main because Mobile Titan Quest is only the original so the damage shield is still very strong.
2nd I thought about nature but don't like pets and not much offense. so that left me with spirit or storm. I like storm for the offense but I also like spirit for the debuffs. any suggestions?
thank you

I'd say Spirit over Storm. While Storm does have Storm Surge for some damage dealing when foes are close, it's sporadic.  Deathchill Aura is continuous and reaches further as well.  Also Spirit gives you Spirit Ward as well to help with undead foes.

Dream also has quite a few buffs for you/debuffs for them when in melee range plus big boosts to both OA and DA. If your intent is to use casting abilities more than melee the DA boosts will still be beneficial to you. Dream mastery includes INT increases as with all the other caster masteries. You get 3 different "trances" (basically auras), among them come damage reflection, adcth, resistance debuff to enemies etc. You also get a passive to increase total speed (and total means total so even your casting speed goes up). You also get some crowd control too.

In my *opinion* Dream is a great choice if you want to play close quarters caster.

I'm assuming Dream is available to you; by "original" it still has IT right?

I'm playing the Android version. It's only the original version of the game. No new classes. Thank you for the response though.

Wow so not even Immortal Throne is thrown in on mobile? Shame.

Nope just the orginal. but on the bright side you can  still max out the Fire Damage Shield for elemental without draining all your mana.

Well, evidently the company that made the mobile version is working on porting the expansions to it but how long that's going to take is anyone's guess.

They replied that they want to, but the original company that made Titan Quest for mobile, used coding they aren't familiar with so its going to take a while if ever but they have plans for it. or something along those lines. its still Titan Quest though for when you don't have a PC.
