Avenger Discussion
« on: 20 June 2019, 04:54:13 »
Hi guys,

I have finally come back to TQ after a long hiatus, so I dusted off my old avenger who had just made it to act 4 legendary.

Now that I have had time to familiarize myself with the game mechanics again I have re-worked all my gear to try and address a few giant holes in my resistances. things were going fairly well however as it often goes, you fix one thing and that just exposes another problem.

So now that my toon is relatively robust and can take a few hits. What has annoyed me now is that Cory is getting destroyed far too quickly. add to that my lack of mana makes it a chore to re summon him every few minutes because I have to disable my auras, wait for my mana to regenerate, summon cory, wait for mana to regerate a bit, then re-enable my auras and re-commence mass murder of mythical creatures.

Long story short this interruption to the flow of play became too annoying so I have been experimenting with other skills. monster lure seems to be working at the moment. ring of fire, flame surge, lava bomb and eruption all cost too much mana to be something I can use regularly.

So currently I'm running a very hunting heavy skill tree but I thought it might be an interesting discussion to see what others are doing with their avenger builds.

I haven't purchased Atlantis yet. but I'm considering with the additional stats and spear dance. It might actually be a viable option to go spear+shield build instead of bow.

Update: I have purchased Atlantis and shifted a few skills around to free up the necessary 16 points to invest in the tree. To be honest I was very surprised at the difference this made, my avenger has little to no trouble in Legendary now. I'm working my way through act 5 now which will be my first go at act 5 legendary difficulty.

My next goal is to pick up a Stinger and then research what other MI's are suitable for my toon that have been added in the new DLCs.

If anyone want's to know, my skill tree looks like this https://www.kirmiziperfect.com/titancalc-anniversary-edition/TitanCalcb285b285b285.html?mastery=Avenger&master1=7&master2=1&sa=24&m1=40-0-0-6-12-12-5-0-1-0-6-8-12-1-8-10-6-0-6-12-6-4-0-0&m2=40-12-0-8-12-0-0-0-0-0-10-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-12-0-0-0-0-0

My equipment is:
Head: Hallowed Alala of Legends + Crystal of Erebus
Torso: Exalted Ismenes Cuirass of the Glade + Boar Hide
Feet: Dazzeling Batricous Greaves of the Pegasus + Hermes Sandal
Arms: Hale Palioxis of the glade + Jade Emperors Serenity
Necklace: Myrmadon's Pendant
Rings: Apollo's Will and Archemede's Cogwheel
Weapon: Relentless Bramblewood Bow of the Betrayer + Incarnation of Anubis' Wrath
Artifact: Sigil of Bast

Nice, avengers are cool. I think there's great synergy for a strength based build there, quite some physical damage from going earth. I guess you could go int based and use golem hearts/golden aegris (spelling) helmet which transmutes physical to elemental damage. Either way I think its a legit build, good defensive options too.
