Question about cooldown - does it start during skill usage?

Hey all,

I've recently started Titan Quest:AE and I am playing a Conqueror. I need help understanding the cooldown mechanics. For example, Battle Rage has a cooldown of 12 seconds.

 But when does the cooldown start to activate? Does it start as soon as Battle Rage procs or as soon as Battle Rage ends?

This makes a huge difference because if the former is true, the skill would be much stronger. Battle Rage is just an example, there are a lot of similar skills (like Adrenaline from the Defense tree).

It start cooldown when the skill activated.

Thank you. I wouldn't have expected this. That's crazy. So in theory you could have Battle Rage activated (almost) permanently.

Yes, you can check it by playing game with xmod game that increase number of enemies, let alot of enemies attacking you (just weak enemies, so your char doesn't need to using potion or run for your life much) and see how often it procs.
