*Someone said "LIT" is an abbreviation for "lire", the old currency in Italy, but I don't trust them.
Since the release of the game in 2006 and its anniversary edition in 2016, there have been numerous attempts at creating a "community/unofficial patch" (like Bugfix Patch v1.17 or AFBF). However, the main problem was THQNordic, the current owner of the franchise, splurting out expansion packs at an inhuman pace and thus invalidating the attempts. However, with the big financial problems of Embracer Group (that owns THQNordic) and Titan Quest 2 being worked on, it's almost
guaranteed that TQ in version of v2.10.21415 from 21.08.2022 is officially the very last update *ever*.
The fandom is now free to consolidate its efforts in consolidating bug fixes accumulated over the years that are still in Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition. Since it's a good time as any, I will go first.
What always aggravated me the most in the original Titan Quest weren't the mechanical/script bugs but the UI/world graphics not clearly differentiating between the "material" qualities of weapons and armor. Copper and bronze often look the same, or iron is close to bronze, all in terms of colors. Or wrongly colored and assigned altogether, especially some epic equipment. Things get even worse with the magical items, since the material name is then omitted...
Here is the properly recolored collection that is currently under construction:
It's going to take me some time to recolor everything since this is my "after hours" project while I take care of the other ones. But it will be delivered, and thanks to the modern, improved libraries and tools, edits and conversions are lightning fast and quality loss free.
