Title: Help/Advice for a Seidr Worker
Post by: shaar on 30 November 2018, 19:01:39
Hello all,

I am new on this forum, as I just started TQ again.
I wanted to try out the new Rune mastery and to combine it with dream, because of the phantom strike + thunderstrike combo, together with a lot of electric burn damage.

The idea is to play melee, with a shield (I guess that dual wielding is not survivable enough). I would like your opinion on how to develop this character, especially regarding stat developments.

Here would be the build:
https://www.kirmiziperfect.com/titancalc-anniversary-edition/TitanCalc38b838b8rune7eca.html?mastery=Seidr Worker&master1=9&master2=10&sa=0&m1=24-0-0-0-0-8-12-6-0-0-8-0-12-0-1-0-6-0-0-0-0-0&m2=24-10-6-6-1-10-10-0-6-10-10-0-1-1-0-0-1-0-0-0-0-0

I m not sure about several things here:
- Should I use Transmutation? I don't fully understand the benefits, unless I go full Int?
- I guess I won't have the energy to use energy armor?
- Which skills should I invest fully on, apart from the main ones (rune weapon, thunder strike and phantom strike)?
- I d like to also use a spell like mines, distort reality or seal of fate, are they viable in legendary?
- Is it worth to go for one point in guardian stone as a panic button?
- What about the nightmare pet, is it worth with only a few points?

And the biggest question:
How should I attribute my stat points, with RW:feather I don't need so much STR for weapon and shield but since I ll be melee, I guess I will need the biggest armor? Int seems apealing given the amount for elemental damage. What ratio would you advice?

I m currently lvl 20 act 2 normal, and I ve started to put points a bit everywhere, mainly in strength so I can wear the best armor.
Skillwise, I put one point in each skill, and I am wondering which one to max out first?

The general feeling is that it s very pleasant to play, very mobile, alternating TS and PS, plus all the speed bonuses. The damages are insane in normal, and survavibility is very decent. For now I also use seal of fate to debuff bosses, and distort reality + mines on big packs of mobs, as they are efficient with only one point at this stage.

I know that s a lot of question, but I kind of forgot everything about this game so help would be very appreciated!

Thanks for reading!

Go on with full EBD up to normal mid Act3 if you are untwinked or epic Act3 if you are twinked  :)

- Transmutation convert your Physical Base dmg on weapon to Elemental dmg. This converted before convert piercing dmg( if that weapon have piercing ratio). This converted Elemental dmg boost by Int, not by Str. Transmutaion is alway active if you spend at least 1 point in it, no matter you use or not use Rune Weapon. Elemental dmg is 3 in 1 dmg. E.g: if after converted, your weapon deal 300 Elemental dmg => your deal ( 100 Fire dmg + 100 Cold dmg + 100 Lightning dmg).
- You can using Energy Armor, but more or less Energy Armor lv is depend on how many enery your character have.
- The skills that you should invest to max is depending on your playstyle, build. E.g: if you like play with throwing Weapon to deal dmg => you should max Thunder Strike, this skill can deal much dmg with throwing weapon.
- Those skills works well in Legendary, you can boost its dmg by max Rune Weapon skill, attack enemies with Rune weapon to max and cast those skills, dmg can be 1,5 or more( depending on how many Rune Weapon Charge that you get when those skill trigger).
- You can test it to find it suit or not with your playstyle, build.
- Nightmare synergy skill can reduced resistances of enemies, it can be help you to boost deal dmg sometime.

Physical and Piercing melee dmg can crit, other dmg type melee not. If you are newbie for game, i think you should spend stat point for pure build, not hybrid( if you are already spend point to str, so continue spend stats point to str and Dex, don't go with Str + Dex + Int when you are newbie).
