New throwing items?
« on: 07 July 2018, 23:28:24 »
Has anybody built a toon around the new throwing weapons?
Also where is the data base located, if there is a new one?
Edit: Went through my old junk and found Database 1.0.1

by this time for sure yes

the obvious comparison is throwing weapons vs bows.. and by that comparison, throwing weapons attack much faster, is one-handed, but have very short range.. bow is the opposite

however, when you get the different throwing weapons and look closely into them, you'll see they can be used other than well, a weapon

so it depends on how you use them and what skills you use them with

edit: example is neiths will which i use for casters.. then there are 3 thrown weapons that have cast speed which can be useful for a trapper rogue: flakes of muspelheim, jade shuriken, and touch of nyx.. then there is winds of asphodel which can be used for reducing resistances (good for secondary).. ra's touch if you only need +1 like for a petmaster

Thanks, I have a tendency to play bow with the casters. I'm old and slow.
Planned to use with shield instead of a bow. The shorter range makes them more dangerous, but speed is much faster
