erik776's Battlemage Guide

why i chose battlemage?
i chose a melee orientated battle mage by accident while i was just mixing classes and later found it to be good fun.
it’s hard at the start because balancing your stats is hard so at the start you’ll need to stock up on health potions. once you’ve mastered the classes it’s a piece of cake as ardor and earth enchantment help make short work of the enemies in front whilst ring of flame helps against those behind.
pros/cons
the cons of being a battle mage is at the beginning as it’s hard to balance you’re skills so u can’t just tank straight away. because of this it can be difficult for beginners. the pros are that you can quickly dish out enormous amounts of damage to large groups of enemies later on in the game.
how to play battlemage
to play battle mage u need both warfare mastery and earth mastery. i would recommend going for
warfare first as it is is the cornerstone of this class.
skill level one
the first skills you should add for warfare are onslaught which you can add to left mouse button and later leads to ardor. the other skill is weapon training which increases the speed and power of your attack. by this stage you should be level 8 and be able to add earth skills. add earth enchantment which will further increase you’re attack power.
skill level 4
add points into dual wield which will allow you to deal twice the damage twice as fast and ignore pain which adds damage resistance. move up to the next mastery of earth and add points to brimstone and ring of flame which will further increase you’re attack power and help you against large groups of enemies. also add heat shield to reduce damage from other fire based attacks.
skill level 10
add points to hew, battle standard (good with ancestral warrior) and war wind which you can add to right mouse button add points to soften metal which will degrade the enemies weapons and armor.
skill level 16
add cross cut to full level and hamstring which will slow down enemies. add points to soften metal which will degrade the enemies weapons and armor.
skill level 24
add points to lacerate which will make you’re right mouse button attack much more powerful and triumph.
skill level 32
add points to tumult and ardor. ardor will increase attack speed with each successive hit meaning the that that your already powerful and fast attack will be even stronger and faster. also add points to ancestral warrior which will summon five warriors when maxed out to help. level up ardor first though as it is the most useful. also add points to volativity which will further increase the power of earth enchantment.
strength and dexterity
when it comes to strength and dexterity you need a good balance as dexterity will allow you to get the faster dual wield weapons while strength will allow you to get better armor. you will also add to add points to mana and health. the max dexterity you’ll need will be about 350-400 depending on what weapons you want whilst strength will be at about 500 for the best armors.
