In the middle of working on stuff and had to stop and share  :D

I love this shot!
I feel this captures the atmosphere and look of an Egyptian tomb interior perfectly

(the yellow natural light I placed there to reveal more of the area but ..maybe I leave it?)

It looks intense, dark and deadly!

Yes , remove that yellow light, let the players get killed by their mistakes :-)

I'd say leave it... or maybe place a small lamp there? It really adds to the atmosphere.

I'd suggest adding a lamp hanging from the ceiling, but I don't think there are any in Titan Quest(or they might be, I can't recall now) and besides it won't fit really well.
You could add glowing signs on the ground(like those in Act 4).
They could be hieroglyphics. If that's not possible, than just leave it as it is.

So I decided to leave it  8) thanks for your help guys

Here's what it looks like in-game (these stairs serve as a way up from a lower level of the Collapsed Catacombs)

One thing TQ doesn't have is lighting CHANGES during gameplay.

Could an invisible stationary monster with a light attached to mesh be placed and then quest killed when a player enters a trigger?

Or a monster quest-casts a spell that is a toggled aura with a light as a particle effect to increase light?

Hey guys, greetings  :)

It's been a long long while since last I posted here and I want to first apologize for leaving you all in the dark..

So among the many questions I guess the biggest one is: Is this project still happening?!
Short answer - a resounding YES!

Between my last post and this a lot has happened, and due to professional commitments there hasn't been any updates
Hamunaptra has been a huge goal and passion of mine over the years and this hasn't changed - let me emphasize that it is very much alive and well!

Having said all that I do feel pretty guilty for leaving you guys high and dry, after all you help keep the momentum going.  For now all I will say is please be patient, you will be playing this sooner than you think, and later this year there will be some news about it  :D

Thank you for the support!

~ Prosoro

Time for an update  :D

Guys I said there would be some news about Hamunaptra later this year and I aim to not disappoint!

With the release of Titan Quest: Eternal Embers you may have noticed a specific location of interest in the description...

Quote
About Titan Quest: Eternal Embers

The newest expansion for Titan Quest, set in Far Orient and Egyptian sands, offers a whole new epic quest line spanning 4 acts, accompanied by 15 additional side quests, playable exclusively on Legendary difficulty. Wander through the fantastic vistas of the orient climbing to the heavens themselves and traversing the mazes of the realm of the Dragon King. From such ethereal heights to the scorching sands and temple ruins of mighty Egypt the player goes but where the path ends only destiny knows.

I'm very proud and excited, but moreso humbled than anything else, to say that Hamunaptra is now released!
Spoiler for Hiden:
as the 3rd act of Eternal Embers!

If you had said I'd be sitting here writing on our TQ forums about not only a new expansion, but one which includes my project as official content of the game, yeah I'd be in disbelief - and probably yelling something like "don't play with my emotions!"

THQN have been outstanding and afforded me the opportunity to become a dev on the new expansion, working on both merging my content and collaborating with the other dev studio to create Eternal Embers.

I hope you all enjoy what we've made... and the perilous tombs and crypts of Hamunaptra Egypt await!

Wow, this was so unexpected to hear  :))
Congrats on your work and official release. After I saw images on steam, that darkness related with Egyptian part was somehow very familiar, and it looks to be what you were already posting in this topic.
