Texture & Skin Modding / Re: [RESOURCES] Custom Models & Skins
« on: 31 October 2025, 03:57:47 »
Uploaded a new mod to Nexus:

This mod is an update and revival of the original Halloween Mod 2012 by Violos, made for Titan Quest: Immortal Throne. In difference to the original mod, this version works as an addon mod, instead of a loadable mod from the game menu.

~ Installation ~

- If you are using JSGME: place folder "ADDON_HalloweenSpecial_2025" into your JSGME's "MODS" folder. Unload previous loaded mods and load this mod in the mod manager menu. Then just launch the game. (Starting a new character is strongly recommended!)

- If you are NOT using JSGME, copy all the folders contained in "ADDON_HalloweenSpecial_2025/Settings" directory and place them in either "Database" or "Settings" folder located in the ROOT directory of Titan Quest - Anniversary Edition (wherever the game is installed). Before doing it, make sure to remove previous addon mods in these directories (if you have any). Then just launch the game and have fun. (Starting a new character is strongly recommended!)

~ Features and Info ~

The original mod info from Violos can be found here:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/halloween-mod-2012

I haven't enough time to implement all the changes from Vio's 2012 version, BUT there are some new features added:

- Reworked are both main player characters models and animations
- Redesigned are the Greek main menu theme and music (to see the changes, pick "Titan Quest Original" from the game menu options)
- Some mastery pets/skills have new looks (I recommend picking Nature, Earth or Warfare mastery)
- The mod is compatible with Soulvizier AERA v1.14b
- More pumpkins around the world
- Increased spookiness

Happy Halloween!

The black skirt? Playing on DirectX9 fixes it.

Where do I need to unpack Pantheon so it can see the texture?
Unpack it in your main game Database folder (or in Settings folder, works too)

Your models are very beautiful. When will we be able to see them in the game?
Officially? I think never. As a mod, most of them are already added to the game - check this page:

I was able to download the Mod and put it in the My Games Folder but on both IT and AE Versions the Games Interface is so messy.
The mod doesn't support IT, only the latest patch version of vanilla AE (v2.10 Update 6). Also it requires all the DLCs installed.

Thank you for the kind words :)

-------- NEW SKINS III ~ Custom Quest Version by Nargil66 ---------

New Skins III is a collecton of different models, skins and other mods for Titan Quest that I have made or ported for Titan Quest Anniversary Edition over the years. This version of New Skins III is intended to work as a normal custom quest mod, in difference from the "addon" version of New Skins III. It is also compatible with the "hard" intallation version of Soulvizier AERA and can be played on top of it.

~ MAIN FEATURES ~

- Added are around 800 custom-made skins (most of them are for the female character at the moment)
- Reworked both playing character models
- Vanilla skins from all acts are also reworked
- Added are new transmogrify items (illusions, hairstyles...) for even more character customization options.

~ INSTALLATION AND USAGE ~

1. Drop the folder "-newskins3_customquest" (containing folders "database" and "resources") in the place where you install GoG mods, usually located in ".../Documents/My Games/Titan Quest - Immortal Throne/CustomMaps" folder. If you don't have a CustomMaps folder in that directory, create it manually. This way the mod will be playable through Steam as well.

TO ENABLE TRANSMOG:

The transmog feature allows you to change the appearance of your equipment and the default look/race of your character via illusions (similar to Grim Dawn). It consists of two .DLL files - guloadsim.dll and h_transmog.dll (located in the PATCH folder). All 3 kinds of cosmetic/transmogrify (Illusions, Mounts and Hairstyles) REQUIRE these two files to be installed properly first.

1. First, download the requied DLLs from this forum post (see attachments under the first post):
https://titanquestfans.net/index.php?topic=1862

2. Copy guloadsim.dll and the PATCH folder (containing h_transmog.dll) into the ROOT FOLDER of Titan Quest - Anniversary Edition.

3. For the transmog feature and items (hairstyles, illusions, etc.) to work properly, you HAVE to run the game as administrator. It is recommended to set TQ.exe to always run with administrator privileges, so you don't have to do it manually every time. To do that:
3.1. Right-click on the TQ.exe shortcut or executable file.
3.2. Select "Properties".
3.3. Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
3.4. Under "Settings", check the box "Run this program as an administrator".
3.5. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.

4. After all the above is set, launch the game and go to "Play Custom Quest", then pick "-newskins3_customquest" from the list of mods.

5. Go to Helos, there you will see the first transmog NPC (Illusionist) near the general vendor. To try the new dyes and hairstyles, visit the other special NPC (Bumbleguppy) located just outside the Helos temple (the same place where you activate curses and buy electrum orbs). You can obtain cosmetic artifacts from him.

6. Have fun with your new custom looks!

Important: Since the new DLLs provided by HekTo modify the game's code, some antivirus programs may flag them as a virus or a hacking tool and try to delete them. Just add an exception in your antivirus for these two files, or for the entire folder of Titan Quest AE where they are located.

~ TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ ~

Q: My character's texture looks gray after restarting the game. How do I this?
A: Press the "K" hotkey ("Reset Player"). This will teleport you to the nearest rebirth fountain and restore your character model and textures.

Q: My character's model is vanilla looking when i first start the mod or after relaunch. How do I change to the new model?
A: Press the "K" hotkey ("Reset Player"). This will teleport you to the nearest rebirth fountain and restore your character model and textures.

Q: My female character's skirt (or parts of it) is black in the inventory portrait. How to fix this?
A: This is a known issue that appears on DirectX 11. It is not directly fixable but me. If you want to avoid it, play on DirectX 9 instead.

Q: I used a hairstyle/illusion on my character, but it disappeared or applied to an item. What did i do wrong?
A: Either you haven't installed the Transmog DLLs properly or you havent launched the game as administrator. Read carefully the previous section.

Q: General vendors are missing the green bag icon above their heads. Why?
A: I had to remove the general vendor icons to display the new custom vendor icons. This issue doesn't exist when playing over Soulvizier by the way.

~ PLANNED FEATURES ~

- More skins for the male (coming in future versions)
- Many more illusions
- Mounts
- More QoL features

Im finalizing a quite big update of the skin mod. The main change are the female base skin textures (the actual skin of the character beneath the clothes). The new base skin textures are more detailed, less pixelated and more anatomical/realistic looking overall. Here are some previews:

Just fired up the mod after not playing for a while and I see missing tags on green items.  Is there an update somewhere I'm missing?

No, you did nothing wrong. They just aren't added yet. Maybe I'll just add empty spaces for start to save time.

Okay, i wasn't very satisfied with the NPC skins above. I asked myself the question - would i put my name on these skins? And the answer was no. So i started improving them again... or "nargilifying them" if you prefer... :) here is the last skin i showed you reworked:
