Hello everyone. I have just been trying to find any news about when/if Ragnarok and Atlantis will be coming out for Switch? I just bought TQ for Switch yesterday and noticed that the Rune Mastery is there but greyed out, and some shops sell throwing items but requires Ragnarok. Honestly, this didn't upset me, it just makes me believe that one day the 2 DLC's will finally come to Nintendo Switch!
Anyone have new info?

Not yet; still waiting for a definite date from the CM at THQNordic. It's going through certification with Nintendo atm.

I'm having a lot more fun on the Switch version than mobile (the Switch screen is small enough, but on my phone!). I guess I can give my 2 cents about the early beginnings of the Switch version. I have 4 characters between level 10-12. That's not far in by any means, but still took many hours just to do that (at least for me). But in that time, I've had no crashes, and the only bugs I've noticed are some frame rate drops, weird texture glitches, and sometimes my Litch stands around not attacking enemies (rare). I haven't experienced anything game breaking.
But other than that, nothing beats being able to play TQ in bed, or in the living room on a giant TV screen. It took me a long time to get used to the auto-targeting system, but I think I've gotten used to it.
Is anyone else here playing TQ on Switch? If so, what are your thoughts?

I don't think Medierra would want a statue of me outside his house - which is the HQ for Crate since they all work remotely so don't have an office. ;D

Say hopeful, rather than firm. The devs are working on porting the expansions to the consoles and also providing controller support as well as trying to fix bugs. If they were independent like Crate and could work on it indefinitely then pretty sure most bugs would get fixed eventually. However, they're not; they answer to THQNordic and it's up to them how long they allow Pieces to continue working on the game.

Sorry for being out of the loop, but I'm curious as to why you say you are "cursing" the game. Like I said, I'm kind of out of the loop, and I can't even keep up with all of the changes TQ has gone through any more.

more like cursed. past tense. I'm too tired of complaining now because it's just the same over and over again. people report bugs left and right. some get fixed, some don't. but one thing constant is every update, even though it may fix some bugs, it will introduce new bugs

Oh that makes sense. Yeah new patches usually introduce new bugs, and now that this game is so huge, I can see how that could frustrate you.
So going back to the Switch version I discovered something that really shocked me last night! The skin they are using for the Wisp in the Storm tree is now a Raven similar to the Storm Raven from Grim Dawn. Did you all know that? :-\ I really liked having an electrical ball follow me around on the PC version. I wonder why they changed it for Switch...not sure about Xbox and PS4 versions.

Fun Fact: it was always like that! all the small enemies like orbs are using the crow model, but the dev did some trick to make the appeal different ingame :P

weird.. as i would think the wisp is based on will o' wisp

it's not a will o' the wisp if it's a bird.. maybe they haven't been able to make the trick work on consoles yet

Hey everyone. Great news! Ragnarok and Atlantis expansions are now available on Switch! Yay!
PS - Thank you to everyone who sent me their kind words about being sick. I am getting better now, and with this news I feel great!
*EDIT* Dang! I thought I got the news out before Medea. :)) Medea you are literally faster than the internet itself. I couldn't find one damn word about this through Google. You are a legend.
*Double Edit* I wonder what the HUGE update is all about? I can't find any patch notes. Oh well...I can only imagine standard bug/performance fixes. That's a good thing.

That's great to hear, Medea. Hey I have a couple of questions:
1. I'm still new to the expansions, so please bare with me. I'm confused about The Relic Vault. I can't seem to transfer relics from the relic vault from one character to the other. Is this intentional?
2. I noticed that both expansions are for sale individually on the Nintendo store, but I've seen a couple of people say that buying Ragnarok alone includes Atlantis. There may be something to this, because when I selected both expansions to purchase on the Nintendo store I got a pop up warning saying that I I was about to purchase duplicate copies. So that confused me. So I guess what I'm asking...do any of you know that we are supposed to pay for BOTH expansions, or both expansions come with the purchase of just one of them? I don't yet have a char out of Act 1 to even check Acts 5 and 6.

All characters should have access to the relic vault, same as the transfer stash area. What exactly are you putting in there though? It's meant for relics/charms though I believe some people put Arcane Formulas and Artifacts in there too - but I think those wouldn't be transferable.
As far as I know Ragnarok doesn't include Atlantis since Atlantis was made after Ragnarok came out. I'll check that with Zyddie though, sounds like something wrong with the Nintendo store.

About Relics:
Unless I'm doing it wrong, the Relic vault is working like the personal stash (not the transferable stash that all characters have access too). I have tried putting in relics and recipes in the Relic vault. I can do so, but my other characters cannot access them. That's good news that it's intended to be accessed by all characters, because it is very annoying otherwise! Perhaps it's bugged?
About the DLC:
I don't think this is the case, because I just installed Ragnarok alone last night and I have access to those top tier skills that came with Atlantis. I can't check out those Atlantis locations because all my characters are still in Athens.

uhhh i don't know if I'm alone on this but any updates on PC kinda scares me now. it's clear the devs don't play the game, they just make new features that are unneeded and they refuse to fix it. like the auto targeting that forces your character to move, for example

what we'll just get is more bugs
every update slowly destroys the game
i honestly believe it's better if they just leave it alone. except maybe if they decide to play their game, but they won't

For me i have same impressions and feeling as you said it. What i dont understand is reading on steam foruns people wanting more xpacs and dlcs.
Lets hope not , not before they fixed the bugs and issues in Atlantis..

Yep, Atlantis needs a big improvement of performance. This beautiful area deserves it.
I dont want to be wrong , but from what i ve see in steam database website, it seens Atlantis was updated 2 days ago, so i believe they are planning something.

Nothing as far as I know because the controller beta testing hasn't been released yet. Unless that was something tying in with the release of the expansions on Switch.

he said there are improvements to Atlantis in the next controller support patch. but ugh i just can't get as confident as him. I've lost hope
that reddish color on the target is so distracting i hope they add an option to disable it. i think it was like that in the console versions because there is no mouse. it's so you can see where you are targeting at. but ugh that is not needed in keyboard + mouse.
but likely it's something the devs are proud of so they likely won't add an option to disable it.
edit: also Mr Fae just sometimes confuses me. lols.. i mean there are workarounds that he should know by now when dealing with Toxeus. but i guess it goes against his thematic build so he won't do it and chooses to die instead. lolz
edit: @MedeaFleecestealer I'm a bit ashamed to ask you this but you're the only one i know close to the devs.. could you perhaps ask them if they would please add an option to disable that reddish color on the target? it's really really distracting.. even if i post something on redmine they won't listen

So I've spent the last couple of nights playing TQ on the Switch and thought I'd give some impressions with the latest update. I have 4 characters I'm playing basically at the same time. It's quite a slog, but they are all level 15-16 and they are all at the Knossos portal. I have a dual wield Onslaught melee Warfare character, a Spirit character with the Lich and Energy Drain (I think it's called), a Storm Mage with the Wisp that's now no longer a Raven and back to being a lightning ball which I love. Last but not least I have a Hunter/basic Archer. I haven't picked a second Mastery for any of the classes yet.
In playing these 4 characters on console, I can say that the most difficult one to control is my Onslaught melee character. The problem with playing with a gamepad is that you have to use a directional cone to select specific enemies which is very hard for me to do. I hope to GOD that I can just get used to it, as I want to play a spear character in the future. I did notice that with the latest update on Switch that the loading screens appear to be a few maybe several seconds quicker which is great.
So far so good, but the Relic vault is still an issue. I can't seem to transfer relics from one char to the other.

I never played on Nintendo switch, is there one way or another to synchronize game saves towards PC through USB port ?
It would be convenient when you are away from home.

I have been playing on Switch too. I am just trying out a few builds and one thing I do not like is the inability to attack unless there are enemies around. Unless I am missing something, I cannot attack the practice targets. It also impact traps as I cannot throw a trap unless there is an enemy in the area. Is it me, or am I missing something with the controls?

That has been my experience as well, wolpak. Melee controls are just so different than PC version, I'm going to keep trying to get used to it.
So..I should mention...I'm one of those people who are getting older, and the idea of sitting at a computer desk for any length of time is making me depressed even thinking about it. As I've gotten older, my hand seems to have turned into a claw from years of mouse use. ;D So I'm ALL ABOUT sitting on a comfy couch in front of a gigantic tv playing my favorite games these days.
