I've been told that Brimstone will increase the damage of Throwing Knife. What about the physical damage portion Lucid Dream? Will that work too?

If it indeed improves phys damage than yes it should work with any weapon that does phys damage. But there's a catch to everything so unless someone corrects me I'm only like 90% certain.

If both Ternion Attack and Ice Shards both have high spread according to what I've seen on youtube videos, is there any point in having both if you are an oracle?

Ternion will apply to each individual bolt any modifiers your staff has, so for example, if your staff carries vitality damage with it, each individual Ternion bolt will carry that, so you could, for example, hit multiple targets and each has that modifier. Something to consider depending on circumstance.

Skill in tqcalc just says "% reduced resistance for 4 seconds" so presumably that's all resistances.

Right. Exactly the point I was making. Considering the OP asked about poison.

Jesus that Stormbane thing dropped in NORMAL?!

I'm pretty sure Rogue's Trance of Wrath reduces poison resistance. It says flatly: "reduced enemy resistances" so one would assume poison is included in that.

Rogue's Trance of Wrath?  Dream's Trance of Wrath.

lol yes, silly error

Anyhow... I am pretty sure DREAM'S Trance of Wrath will reduce poison resist :D

Am I wrong?

Might want to consider devoting more attention to DEX than you have been. It will increase your Defensive Ability which helps in making mobs miss you and reducing how often you get crit when they do connect. Also, it raises your Offensive Ability as well so you'll hit more, and possibly crit more if your OA is sufficiently higher than your target's DA. So right there that will help both your damage output and your survivability.

Also as Medea said earlier you do not need, nor is it advisable, to get a point in every skill. Figure out which skills work the best for you and go heavy on those; skills you barely ever use or skills that don't seem to suit you, you should see an alchemist and buy those points back and invest them elsewhere.

I don't play War + Def, but I play Def + Dream; I can't speak towards dual-wielding, but, if you like to use shields, I highly suggest investing in the shield passives (Smash, Disable, Pulverize). You might not think so but  shield can put out very nice damage with those passives, possibly exceeding your primary weapon (in a one hit to one hit comparison of course... certainly not in DPS).

Unless you ever plan on using a mace (and apparently axes) I suggest not bothering with that stun passive skill. You're going to want to use fast and very fast weapons and have your attack speed as high as you can; being that you have Warfare, I don't think you'd mind that. The high attack speed will cause the shield passives to proc (occur) more.

I also suggest investing in Rally; it's a nice emergency heal even if you never use it for its passive buffs. Also, I suggest investing in Adrenaline/Resilience/Defensive Reaction. Adrenaline will cause you to boost your health regen when it procs, but it really shines in its higher tiers: Resilience causes Adrenaline to proc more often (all presupposing you take damage, since Adrenaline depends on taking damage) and Defensive Reaction boosts your attack speed and damage (I think it also adds bleeding to your attacks). Even if you don't care about Adrenaline's boost to health regen, you'll want it, and want Resilience, so you can get Defensive Reaction.

Just my thoughts. I'm finishing Act 4 Epic, already finished Atlantis Epic, with heavy Defense investment and it's worked pretty well this way.

Later on, when/if you can get Unyielding Phalanx... Take it. If you get to a point where you got your skills worked out and you can spend some "luxury" skill points, put points in to Phalanx. That skill is straight up broken and stupidly OP in the best way possible... lol... I can only imagine what it would be like coupled with whatever the skill is Warriors get... Ancestral Horn or something?

Ah well I have 5 configurable buttons on my mouse so I can bind a lot to it.

If you ever get stuck in map geometry again, press K (default bind). You will be freely teleported a short distance to a valid, unimpeded spot of the map you are on, usually only a few steps away. In your key binds, it is listed as "Reset character" or something like that.

You haven't answered since April so this is assuming you're playing AE on PC.

Wow so not even Immortal Throne is thrown in on mobile? Shame.

Dream also has quite a few buffs for you/debuffs for them when in melee range plus big boosts to both OA and DA. If your intent is to use casting abilities more than melee the DA boosts will still be beneficial to you. Dream mastery includes INT increases as with all the other caster masteries. You get 3 different "trances" (basically auras), among them come damage reflection, adcth, resistance debuff to enemies etc. You also get a passive to increase total speed (and total means total so even your casting speed goes up). You also get some crowd control too.

In my *opinion* Dream is a great choice if you want to play close quarters caster.

I'm assuming Dream is available to you; by "original" it still has IT right?

Atlantis / Re: Titan quest Atlantis Feedback
« on: 20 May 2020, 08:31:38 »
I enjoyed it. Some areas I felt could have been shortened, like the Atlas Mountains, but that's not a big deal. I do enjoy the "...of The Tinkerer" suffix, that's a nice touch.

I only have two small complaints. Really not even "complaints" just tiny quibbles:

1. The scaling feels wonky. I went there right after Act IV, so after Hades, but before starting Ragnarok. I read somewhere (I think somewhere on these forums actually) that it's "more like Act 4.5" so that's basically how I treated it. While in raw level the mobs scaled to my range, their actual, I dunno.... "beefiness" seemed higher than what their level range would suggest. I was still able to play through with no issues, but there were mobs in Atlantis technically lower in level than the higher leveled mobs I was killing with ease towards the end of Hades, but were more difficult nonetheless. I'm sure it was an intentional design choice, but it felt odd. Still though, it wasn't a nightmare or anything.

2. I feel like they pushed a 2006 engine further than they should have. I appreciate good scenery and aesthetics, but this lag issue... The lag wasn't enough to kill the game for me, but it WAS enough to be more than noticeable.  It wasn't resulting in me dying due to lag, but it would result in momentary freezes followed by bursts of activity; cursor forgetting its context; those sort of small annoyances. Granted these same things can and do happen at any point in the game, however it's only circumstantial when that happens to me in Acts I through V, i.e., I'm running some tasks in the background, that sort of thing. But in Atlantis content, it was common. And when it wasn't acting up to that degree, it was still slightly "off." Even at its best you could tell it wasn't being as smooth as the rest of the game.

EDIT: Oh yeah, there were definitely areas that needed better rebirth fountain placement. If anything, Gadir needs a fountain INSIDE the city, close to the market area. That one outside the city is just too far from the market area if you want to park a toon there and cycle through the vendors for any Tinkerer items. I realize you can just portal there, but every other major city has convenient rebirth fountain placement; I don't see why Gadir could not.

Atlantis / Re: Tartarus
« on: 20 May 2020, 08:17:45 »
Took Tartarus down on Normal a few weeks ago with a Templar (and not a particularly well build one either lol, I'm not doing quite the reflection damage some people think I should be, or at least I wasn't at the time). Can't recall what level I was at. In the 40s, maybe I was at 50, but no higher. The first few times I tried to kill him, the issue was putting out enough damage to kill him in time; I was able to stay alive though. After reworking some skills I could reliably kill him. Nice to know he's allegedly easier on harder difficulties lol.

Ternion is an LMB attack? I use it as an RMB attack like an explosive shotgun if/when mobs close in, but I don't use it as my primary LMB...
